Hey!

I'm new to Head-Fi, and I'm going to get my first "good" headphones.

So, I've read many good reviews about them, but how could I compare them?

Price range is under 200$, so there's a lot of headphones on that

Here's the list:

Audio Technica ATH-M50
Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 80 ohm
Sennheiser HD 380 Pro
Shure SRH 840

Feel free to suggest more

I ended up getting Beyerdynamic DT 770.

I tried like 8 different headphones, and only these felt good on my ears, others, well, my ear was in contact with the driver and it was really disturbing.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

I think your choice is a good one. They're one of my favorite headphones, but I'm a bit of a Beyerdynamic fan.

What about the Custom One didn't you like? I've been curious about this headphone for a while and there isn't a store anywhere in the are where I could demo that pair.

That's important to me, too. I returned ATH-M50s because my ears were brushing against the earpad in front of the driver (among other reasons) and it's why I haven't bought some of the Sonys that interest me. On ear somehow bothers me less than over ear with shallow cups.
