Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions

Wish try it once. I have two cable stock fir includes SPC and Pure Cooper. I also tried the 1960s 4 wire with my M5 that's an excellent pair but i have to use an adapter which i just use for test cable which I never like to use for a long period of time :frowning2:

I happen to have 1960 2wire (stock from Odin). Is it good enough for M5 as well?

Sounds like a 4 wire silver cable would be a good alternative to the M5 stock+copper and 1960 cables...

From my Traillii review where I used M5 w/1960 4wire and adapter for comparison. Figured will be appropriate to complement your post

I'm pairing my m5 with Scorpion C, I think that's also good pair. I love the scorpion C more a bit than scorpion standard. But sorry because I never tried silver cable so i couldn't compare them. Hope useful for you :)

This is what I have with M5, copper + silver fusion cable from Norne, but it’s quite thick and big

Yes, that one works great too if you have RCX connectors, but looks better with a cable like yours that has a straight connector housing rather than angled, otherwise the cable bend over your ears could be a bit awkward. But, all up to a personal preference.

Yeah, this is the first version i have received 10/2019. That's so good but after a few revisions it has better build, better package and specially better tuning. During the long period of time i have bought some iems but it's still the best with me. Really really love this sound. Special to Bogdan and his team brought all the best for everyone

@doctorjuggles made this absolute masterpiece for my FiR M5. It’s a 4 wire silver cable and it has some of the best ergonomics I have used. Incredibly soft and supple. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Now I’m no photographer but I’ve done my best. These things are absolutely beautiful.

Hi guys, the M5 has successfully aroused my interest. But I heard about some silent adjustments about the tuning, is it better to buy a brand new from FIR directly rather than acquiring a used unit? Also would like to know how different it is between the universal model and the custom one. Is there any chance that FIR would offer a demo or loan program in US instead of blind buying? Any ideas are appreciated, thanks!

The tuning changes happened before the full production model came out, so assuming you bought one that was made sometime after like July 2019? You should be fine. Email bogdan and maybe he can set you up with a demo unit.

Don't worry about that, I and my friend have bought the M5 while we never tried it yet. Let contact directly to @bogdan belonozhko, he's very nice 👍 I'm sure that. Moreover, the fir audio team is one of the best customers service that i have contacted. Don't hesitate to ask him any questions. Hope useful to you
