I notice there is a port there.. but what I wonder does it have some other function (such as total of 2 port for DD driver).. like this iem is not tubeless design...

This is true. But from FIR's marketing materials, this is also the place that they implement ATOM.I notice there is a port there.. but what I wonder does it have some other function (such as total of 2 port for DD driver).. like this iem is not tubeless design...

The atom filter is in there. The rating on the filter is a “super +” giving it a maximum isolation but still relieving maximum pressure on the front side. We were able to achieve this by placing the the filter directly in front of the low driver. There’s also a “manifold” that low and mid pipe into so though it’s not tubeless it’s not really a “tubed” iem either. No Xcite cricut either so cables, and players will have more of a bias on the sound, which a lot of people might appreciate . In depth details about this new design will be released once it’s up for sale. We really appreciate the excitement around this model, we are just as excited about it as you all are.Does it have Atom??

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm glad you had a pair of Rai Penta to compare with the VxV. I've been listening to mine for almost two weeks solid so that comparison gives me a good point of reference.
Nice writeup. These are very nicely styled. Even thought they are cheaper, I suspect I'd value the extra bass oomph that it's much bigger cousin the Nio offers. Glad to see Portland continuing to pump out cool audio gear though!
