Has anyone cable rolled with the M5 to tame the upper mids a bit and help bring out the upper treble some more? I’m still using the stock provided cable but I am thinking about trying some alternatives to make those changes.

Yours is a custom, right? I have the uni, and I think they sound different to the customs. I read a comparison somewhere and the uni is said to be more of a reference sound than the customs. Anyway, I’m using Norne‘s copper silver fusion cable, but mine is the 8-wire version so it’s big and thick, not suitable for on-the-go. It ”clears” up the sound, and the treble gets more extended and airy with more presence, sub-bass goes a tad deeper and female vocals feel more engaging than before. The 4-wire version will definitely be more suitable for on-the-go scenarios with perhaps some slight differences in sound. But I’m a sucker for big and thick cables so I went for the 8-wire :relaxed:

I've been hearing alot about the 5x5 , any news on that? Is it a new flagship?
Lots of speculation...
