Yes I have both and will include both in the review. I haven't started testing either of them with R8 II yet. Too much gear to get through this holiday season...while everyone else is on the beachDo you have both rn6 and xe6? Which one you favoring with r8II?
For anyone i stressed here and trying to help in pm tooafter genres and songs and wanderings, I found some ways to test kinetic bass , >it is working as supposed. One thing that bugs me and I' d need still to understand (xe6 owners) is if the kinetic bass effect changes dramatically ( like on/off) when you get the proper position or seal for it..
or if is it there a way to know if it is working as intended or not
I agree with you but these are matters of subjective taste. Some people don't like that wall of sound, while clearly many do. Extra points for Pimpf, I thought I was the only one who remembered that song!Ps separation on xe6 is *outstanding* .. no parts melting on heavy passages , and on those passages ( tech or prog metal? Just i.e. ) drums parts are clear and superbly intelligible and separated
in 'Pimpf' from Depeche Mode which is a stunning and quality recording from '80 , apart from that piano notes and barrel drum at intro are both breathtaking, there are chorus voices overlapping symphonic parts and synths , and it becomes quite crowdy at ends , a passage that some chain or headphones fail to render in its magnificence , on xe6 everything keeps being rendered clearly until the very end : well separated and respectfully to their timber and volume
I am telling this as someone said me xe6 were congested on his listenings ..
I don't have rn6You guys really make me want to buy the XE6. I already have the RN6, and absolutely love it for its transparency stage combined with great bass. Would the XE6 be too much of the same?

I'm a sneak EE fan boy but you can't go wrong. They genuinely have their place, I just prefer some weapon IX/X action .You guys really make me want to buy the XE6. That someone *caugh* is not only you*caugh*That someone *cough* me *cough* was referring to a specific pair up synergy with R8ii which is a warmer source To my ears, the L-shaped tuned uni XE6 has a denser sound and while going to its custom version improves the mids with more clarity due to a deeper insertion which brings high BA in the nozzle closer to my eardrums, and then going to RN6 improves the lower mids even more. People will hear things differently due to their sound preference, variation of hearing ability, earcanal anatomy, other IEMs they heard, type of music they are listening to, etc. So, take it as a single data point. Per our PM discussion, if you enjoyed XE6 with your other warm M8 source, you should be fine with R8ii which is a bit less warmer in tonality.

I am trying something that synergies better with xe6 then m8 ( warm and a bit slow ), valuing your advice against sp3k and r8II /and someone other for m9+ and lpgt -which I was asking you about , too,.
