BTW, I will be working on announcing / proposing the tour routes a few groups a day over the next few days. Tonight I've announced the roster in Singapore.

@Joe Bloggs
can I use M3U playlists? How to import playlists?

Hello Mimouille,

At present I'm told that only M3U playlists directing to songs in its own directory, without any metadata, are supported, i.e. M3U playlists consisting simply of a list of filenames for tracks in their own directory.

I suppose this will be updated in the future.

Best regards,
Joe

Do you mean that the M3u has to be in the directory, and cannot refer to songs in sub directories. Could I get an example? Because at this stage, it is not recognizing my M3u file.

The example I was given was something along the lines of

foo.m3u said:
foo.mp3
foobar.flac
fooooo.wav
uuuuu.ape

Also, given the past behaviour of M3U files in FiiO players, I suspect you may have better luck looking for them in "Browse Files" rather than any subcategory of "Play by Category"...

Just received the Australian review unit today, truly magnificent unit here, build quality is first class

does anyone know how to install play store in it?

also, I'm assuming the Western version will come preinstall with Play Store? or would it be the same version?

thank you

I've managed to download the Play Store APK, but can't install since I can't enable the 'apps from unknown resources' option under setting (there aren't such option under the security setting)

Tried to look in You Tube, but couldn't find anything

Any advise would be welcomed

it is usually "go to about phone and tap 'version' 5 times to enable the developer mode" and then you have that option

Is it actually the case that unknown sources aren't enabled now, or just that Play Store isn't part of the whitelist?

You could for example try downloading and installing this:
https://d1clcicqv97n4s.cloudfront.net/android/SpotifyAndroid.apk

Which is spotify, which is whitelisted by the X7.
