PCM, as I’ve already mentioned, works.
But PCM is not the same as DoP.
Moreover, it works only with 192kHz max, which forces to use DSD64/41 or DSD64/48 and downscale anything else, so there is no actual quality gain

I got rid of Fiio X7 mark ii. Of course it is a great sounding device (one of the best if not the best, including in comparison ifi idsd micro, chord mojo, a&k junior) but the ultra slow firmware and the battery draining in standby mode made it a nightmare. It should have better support...
Qobuz on X7ii still possible?
I am trying to install Qobuz on my X7ii. Qobuz is not even offered in the Playstore any more. Might be because of Android 5.1.1.
Since there existed Qobuz versions for Android 5, I sideloaded two older ones.
Both versions have the same problem: Playing in 44.1khz works, but highres 96khz is badly destorted.
Do I have to give up, or is there a solution.
OTA fw update says I have the newest version installed.
Thanks for any hint!

I would suggest UAPP which works well on the X7II with both Tidal and Qobuz with high-res support. Yes, the older Android version is becoming a problem for this DAP.

For everybody wants to use Qobuz in the original App: In the App settings, you can set a general reduction to "CD quality". Reduced quality, but fluently working.
Hey all, just scrolled through the last bunch of pages looking for this topic but had no joy. I'm not finding Tidal on the google play store on my mkii. If I look at my app history on my google account I can see it, but it says that it's not compatible with the device.
Do I need to sideload this, or am I missing something? On a side note, has anyone tried usb audio player pro app with the x7m2? Worth it?

Sideload version 2.31. It was the last version to support Android 5. UAPP works perfectly with X7II including high-res support, Tidal and Qobuz. Well worth it IMO.
Hello, few days ago, my Fiio x7 mk2 freezed, turn it off by holding power button for a long time. Turned on and left it. Now the battery is 0%. All day tried to charge it, but nothing... When put the charger, fiio booting up, turning on and turning off, dont charge anymore. I just remember, when it freezed I tried to connect chord mojo with usb port Where could be the problem?

I think there's a reasonable probability that your battery has failed. When mine failed, the big challenge was that no replacements were available that included the attached tiny circuit board. You may have more luck now finding one.
As per some of my previous posts, I was ultimately successful in detaching the Lithium Ion battery from that board and attaching a new similar battery to the board. If you're going to attempt that, I would recommend purchasing one of the battery spot welders that are commonly available now rather than attempting to reattach the board to the battery using a soldering iron like I did. Note that there is some chance this will not work - if the problem is within that tiny circuit board, replacing the battery pack won't help. But the behavior you describe is what I would expect if the battery pack was degraded to the point where it won't hold a charge, or more likely to the point where the charging circuitry determines that it is not safe to charge it.
Good Luck!

If the device cannot be turned on or charged, it is suggested to follow the tips below to solve it.
1.Try other power adapters and USB cables.
2.The battery of your device may be overused, so it needs to be refreshed through low-current power. Please try to charge the player using the computer for about 30mins, then hold the power+play button for 30s to force a restart.
3. If the above 2 measures cannot help, you can try to leave the device aside for 2 to 3 days, and then charge it again. Because sometimes its system may be stuck, it would return to normal when the device runs out of power.
