Hi,
First, many thanks to all for this thread!
I was fighting since months with 2nd slot, spent many hours investigating, testing, analysing logs...
And finaly yesterday I got the explanations from here, about this sh%%y bug.
I tried different firmwares, but it's not better managed
I must say that now I'm part of the group of the very disappointed Fiio customers...
Because:
It's only there:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/fii...nd-wifi-opt-out.854353/page-317#post-14341961
that Fiio recognize the issue.
Nowhere else customers are informed! Nor on Fiio support site nor official forum.
And I didn't get the information from support emails.
It's clearly an unacceptable poor chip choice, knowing that the X7II was not a cheap/low-end player.
My friend has an X5III and she faces the same issue, because of that for example NeutronMP is not easy to use. I'm in touch with its developper, but since it's a kind of hack this 2nd sd slot management, it's not clear how it should be managed, and also is it really up to each app developper to do special workaround for an issue in design limitation, which is not solved by firmware?
They were sold as "2 slots players", but the 2nd one is not bug-free
Now the only solution is to buy a bigger sd card, and use a single 256gb instead of two 128gb.
It's my 4th Fiio player, and the 3rd one for my friend. But it's probably the last Fiio ones that we have...
