Dear FiiO. Play some music. Turn the screen off. Press the pause button. The music will stop for about half a second and then carry on. Thereafter it works perfectly until you reboot. It couldn't be simpler, really.

So i take it this edge piece doesn't go on when using the AM0? Also.. now that this thing is shorter, what case do i use? Silicone is out and the pleather one may work.. But?

Been using Tidal Hi-Fi with offline contents for 2 months now. So far so good! I've got 190gb worth of offline music at 44-16.

From what I've read so far, it's the downsampling of the source (?). But I guess being realistic I might not even notice it.

I'm using the FiiO X7ii which can take Tidal Hifi. It then feeds the data to my Hugo 2 via optical out... as for playing hi-res files, the Hugo 2 does indicate the proper rate and bit depth for each album I have in my memory card (not on Tidal but actual HDTracks hires tracks).

From what I've read so far, it's the downsampling of the source (?). But I guess being realistic I might not even notice it.

SRC shouldn't be much of an issue when using TIDAL since it uses CD quality audio (16-bit / 44.1 kHz) for lossless streaming.

As for their so-called "hi-res" content: They are using MQA, which involves lossy encoding, blurring and many other highly questionable procedures. SRC is the least of your problems here.

Unfortunately whatever hit the screen got the edge of the glass under the protector and the crack made one streak from the impact point to the side making a 2" hairline crack. I'm thinking i may drop glue at the impact point to keep more cracks from possibly developing.

Just for clarity, Tidal Hi-Fi has both Flac for their 44.1khz/16bit cd quality and I guess MQA for their "master quality" stuff. Two different levels.

However over 90% of their tracks are in CD quality which they call "hi-fi". The master quality is included with the hifi plan but is very limited to a few albums only.

Curious as well. The intention was to get the AM0 to use this as a transport.

I am honestly not seeing any battery savings with the AM0...even with just using optical out. I take it that it's just a replacement plug more than anything else. Maybe make the x7ii more pocket friendly as well?
