My X7 have the newest firmware FW3.3.7 installed. But i really miss the "Viper Effect" so i tried to install the "Fiio Music3.4.3apk" with the "ES File Explorer", but i only get an error message when i try this.
What do I do wrong?

Any electronic parts shop like https://www.conrad.com/ will have these little screw drivers. Also I guess optricians should have them.

Fiio x7 no longer works as DAC operating together with USB Audio Player Pro?

I have a Samsung Tablet with Android 7. In this tablet I have installed the USB Audio Player Pro. When connected the tablet to my x7 (first generation), the USB Audio Player recognizes the Fiio x7 as a DAC, but when I plug the headphone on fiio x7, no sound at all (and the track is running).

Is anyone able to make x7 work as an DAC in this way?

Hi

This is mainly a question to FiiO, but if anyone else can help, then please do.

My question is this, what is the biggest card you can use on the original X7? When using a Sandisk 400GB card with firmware version 3.3.5 (Pre-facelift), when I first boot up the X7 and tap on the card's folder icon, FiiO music always crashes the first time. It works ok on the second attempt and thereafter. A Sandisk 200GB card works first time, every time.

I don't really want to update the firmware any further, as I find FiiO music unusable on both the X7 with 3.3.6 onwards and X7ii with 1.0.7 onwards.

I'm on the 2019-04-04 update, and I'm also experiencing problems with DAC functionality on my phone. I'm using the FiiO CL-06 cable to connect to my nokia 8 sirocco. this works fine between Q1 mkII and phone, but with the X7, i'm not able to get the X7 running as a DAC.

@Darren Cotter i'm using a 400gb SanDisk µSD card just fine on the latest firmware.i'm only using about 220GB of it though.
