Can the X7 finally download/store music from Tidal? I know that was a feature people have been waiting for. And by people, I mean me, lol.

Mac OSX seems to automatically upsample to 24/192. My X5 is like this too. Not sure why it does that. I have Windows 10 on a separate partition so I tried out the drivers on it. The sample rate is normal, but I noticed both OSs have latency when first loading a song.

That might not be a latency issue me thinks. If you dont have anything playing, it puts the dac in a standby state of sort, and as soon as u start playing something DAC kicks in, which takes half a second. I didn't experience any latency aside from this phenomenon.

Most of the music apps such as tidal and spotify are compatible with older Android versions so no worries there  I think the FW was designed around a specific android build, and they might have to change quite a bit of programming to upgrade the base android me thinks. All conjecture on my part

USB DAC was added a day or two ago, so its live now, and working quite well for me. I am not sure about the offline mode as I dont use that feature personally but I will test it out tomorrow no worries.

Btw, in my case, the "case" actually covers the blue light under the display.

Bummer, really hoping the leatherette case doesn't block the pulsar light. I'll report on my copy once I received in mail.

Connected X7 to my phone hoping to enjoy that X7s masterrace sq while still using my phone... Split second pauses and crackles all over. Quite a letdown, especially when my trusty E17 works perfect under the same conditions.

A standard OTG Cable would do.

A standard otg cable will work, but the X7 will draw power from your phone, and drain your battery quickly. This was my experience with the Fiio X3ii.

A two-way otg (micro usb to micro usb) should remedy this issue.
