Hello. My player fiio X7 often after finish the folder or file loses the sound. After a reboot the sound does not appear or is distorted, accelerated or slowed down. Normal sound appears only after switching off for a few minutes.

Dear genazah,
Sorry to hear about that. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience brought to you.
Please try to follow this post to wipe the cache & data on X7 to see whether it helps: http://fiio.me/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=41364
And could you please tell us what is the firmware of your X7?

The sound disappeared. In the "Play" counter accelerated. Repeated wipe the cache & data five times. After the third attempt counter and strip in the "Play" do not move. The sound has not appeared. The statement is not quite true. Select 'Yes' after a point "d", but not after "c". On my X7 is the firmware 2.0. The problem appeared earlier.

Question to FiiO.

Can you please let me know when a balanced cable will be made available for Sennheiser IE80's? I know you guys are in progress, but I would like to know a target date as I recently acquired a X7 with AM3 and I am looking for a set of cables. I prefer to buy it from you guys if available in a decent amount of time.

I am from Toronto, Canada.

Thank you

Maybe you already know but moon-audio makes that cable "for" AK players, the same pinout as X7.
The Black Dragons are very well built and fairly priced IMHO

My 2 cents

Ha, just what I was looking for. There isn't much info out there on this subject. Is the link you provided the right cable for HiFiMan HE400s headphones? The web site isn't well written.

Thanks again!

The page is clear, its the cable for Sennheisers:

  1. Sennheiser IE80
  2. Sennheiser IE60
  3. Sennheiser IE8.

If you start from the menu above, Dragons, Black Dragons, IEM / Earphones, you will find the cables for several manufacturers - onde in the page you have drop-downs for options, namely the SE/Balanced, straight or angled, etc. I don't know if there's an option for HiFimans...

Regards

Thank you Paulo for the post. I am aware of all the cable companies that everyone is talking about. Null Audio, Moon Audio, Toxic, HPL and so on...

I am actually looking for more unique cable, hence my question to the DYI community.

Does this problem happen to all the songs? And have you tried playing the song from internal storage?
If it happens to all the songs, please try to flash the firmware with the flashing tool. (Flashing the firmware will erase all the files in the Internal Storage, so you may need to back up your files before this operation)

what if you plug in a IEM that has higher impedance and lower sensitivity rating? Would you still hear the same level of hiss?

I don't have another iem at the moment.

I wish there was a solution for this.

I'll try to roll back to an older firmware tonight

New issue starting to occur (never had this before):

Sometimes, after the track ends, fiio doesn't plays the next one automatically. Instead the track is stuck at the last second, and the only way how to resume is to click "forward" button.

Is this known issue? Anybody experienced this?

I experienced this whenever i'm on 'Play all' and forgot the select 'Play through folders' (as the app is done playing all of the tracks in the current folder)
