do you have bug tracking site for us to report bug ? the era has changed when the device get complex more bugs will be introduced and if you have a system to track bugs and features progress i think it will speed up the timeline to make x7 is real matured android dap

sorry,we do not have bug tracking site for our users to report bugs now,  some friends reported us here ,or by email ,or on our facebook.

And we always collect the problems and report to our engineers.

any good suggestions or ideas you have ,please feel free to email us at support@fiio.net.

For the bug tracking site, we will take it into consideration, thanks.

I can imagine you don't want that site be publicly accessible so your competition can't take a sneak-peaks about what are your most burning issues.

However, what may be useful would be to create some front-end/form for customers to enter those issue - upon completing, new issue ID would be generated, and I could use that issue id for any further communication with you (i.e. Hi FiiO, can you please let me know what is the status about X7-875 issue?

That front-end/form could include standardised questions such as:
 - Device type
- FW version
- Steps to reproduce
 - SD card type
- Log attachments

Another vote for a bug tracking system. Your products are extremely good James, and extremely popular among us at head-fi, but they are also getting more complex so a bug tracking system is indeed optimal. I would be happy to participate if you have such need. I have in the past actually done web application testing and help file authoring and in general have an interest in the area. It sounds like the X7ii and X7 are going to really reach the full potential of what an Android based DAP can be. Very exciting for everybody.

there once was a bug tracking system. it was flooded by many users who can't differentiate between a bug and user error, a bug and hardware limitation, a bug and a request, etcetera.

And a lot of users can't file a proper bug report if their life depend on it.

(this was all during my time in the X3 v1, and eventually X5 v1 thread)

Guys, i think i have asked before, but do you sometimes hear metallic-like sounds in the music you're playing? because i do, and i'm starting to wonder if my X7's DAC chip might not be functioning as it should, or if my ears are just too sensitive.

With the AM01 i heard it only on my IEMs (GR10e, FIBASS) but now with the AM02, i can hear it with all my headphones.

Further more, i noticed that the gapless playback is working only sometimes on firmware v2.0, and sometimes at the end of a track, no new track will play automatically, at random. (i believe these issues have both been reported in this thread before, i'm only adding to their credibility by also reporting it)

James - look into an app called Slack. It is on a lot of platforms and can also be web based. Real-time chat and message system. Allows you to have private conversations within a Group environment. Perfect for feedback in a beta testing environment :)

Ditto, I remember using that once. If I recall it was quite decent.

I used to help with bug-fixing of the package for the TeX typesetting system in Debian Linux. I had no programming background, so my help was limited to trying to reproduce the error reported by the user. If I could reproduce it, then consider further action. If it was user error and not bug, then respond to user on how to correct it. If problem already fixed in a newer release, then file the report  as fixed in future release accordingly, etc.

Yeah, so I know what you mean.
