The Pioneer phones are very good. I also use the Twau cable by Whiplash just to push them above and over the edge. lol 

I know it is OT, but what headphones would you feel the Pioneer can keep up with?, HE 1K, LCD 4 ....

I just bought an AM5 I must say there I only a very slight improvement. The separation and sound signature is almost the same as the stock amp. Maybe I'm expecting big power like from a desktop amp but with this Im not getting it. This new AM6 will this only drive iem,s? I have a pair of He 400i,s

Hi, These may already have been answered but I can not find them in here.
I got the X7 and updated the firmware to 1.9.1. There are a few issues I seem to be having.

The Line/coax out. When i connect this to the car stereo the power seems terrible and nothing compared to the X5ii. The other issue is when i disconnect the cable from the Coax the player switches to a different random album and starts playing in the backround, If I didn't put my ears to the headphones i would not know. So the unit has to be powered down completely.
Any advise would be great as its becoming a issue with me and I may just return it.

Are you saying the AM5 won't drive your HE 4001? I'm pretty much blown away by the power the AM5 puts out. Maybe you have a faulty unit?

Good point! A lot of people may not realize that they need to DL 1.91 to support the AM5.

I also heard about Philips Fidelios, Hifiman HE-400S, other alternatives up to the price of PM-3? they don't need to be foldable as I don't intend to travel with them, for that I have my IEM's.

Hi, i am using pm3 and se535 with am2 module and the sq is excellent, musical, very toe-tapping and immersive even with low bitrate files using spotify free and superb with redbook files.

I am happy with the SQ of my x7/am2 - my issue is the wifi seems very weak and gets lost easily when moving any distance from the router. My other devices (laptop, ipad) work much better in this regard.
