Hey if I buy AM3A. Would it be a better choice than spending $649.99 for mkii. I dont need the volume wheel and really like the buttons for volume.

Someone threw a perfectly good X7 with AM1 module in giant trash can where it's shared by multiple buildings.

I cleaned it up with alcohol and it looks good as new.

If you stream music then the X7 has issues. If not then I'd say get then amp module that suits your needs and be happy with the X7.

What do you mean by my files offline? You're own music or spotify, Tidal or other music services files downloaded.

I dont stream. Only use flac or bought itunes AAC file.

I think I will use hiby music. Its scanning system is much faster than fiios standard music app

Two years. I doubt they'll fix the streaming issue because they don't seem to show any interest in fixing it. The other issues may be fixed but updates have slowed to a screeching halt since they released all their new DAPs. The last update was basically a new theme that really slowed the X7 down. FiiO is on a 18 month replacement cycle with their DAP's so once the new model comes out support for the old takes a back seat.

BTW. I am not sure 400 GB SD cards will work. They only tested 200 GB. I guess 256 could work too... But please tell me in case it works.

Also I had to use a lot of scents to remove the smell. Isopropyl alcohol got rid of all the stuff that was on it.
Yeah I can confirm my 256 sandisk GB sd card works!

yeah, all amp modules are compatible with 1st gen and 2nd gen. Yeah I figured 9018S also is good enough for modern standards.

That 2 GB of Ram of x7ii seems enticing. But I don't need it honestly, just need an app to play local music off SD card and nothing else running.

Use it in Pure music mode and that will give you more battery life.
