FiiO X7 | DXD | DSD | 384K/64B | ESS9018+ Android | WiFi | Bluetooth | 4 AMP modules | Balanced Out |

Q: Is it possible to use the X7 as a DAC for an iPhone?

There is a valid reason for asking this (honest).  Has anyone managed to do this and, if so, what was the cabling involved.

Many thanks.

I did, I used Apple Lightening to USB Camera adapter and a USB to microUSB cable. I never tried it for longer than few minutes but it was working fine on software 2.0 (have not tried on 2.x)

Anyone prefer Power Amp over Neutron, or visa versa? Will they both accurately play 24 bit audio?

ETA
I read that the S7 edge, which I have, is capable of playing HiRez audio, (which I cannot confirm) thus it's the phone I want the above players for.

I don't think ether will do native 24bit.

I experience issues in 3.1.7 that did not occur with 3.1.6.

When the screen is locked and turns off, the player will not continue to the next song unless the screen is switched on.

Music stutters and stops to play randomly. That happens with all files.

So you can't listen to more than one song continuously... Makes the player totally unusable.

Maybe reseting device or clearing FiiO app data?
I have 3.1.7 and its running smooth and flawlessly. No stutters and everything playing as expected, several hours a day btw.

One of the few things I would like still to be corrected are the track order inside playlists (created by app), it should respect the order of entry on the playlist IMHO - as an example, I rip two albuns and add to library for playing later so I create a playlist "New" and add them one at a time all tracks (Recently added list should be improved I don't use it) - later, the only option I have to play from the playlist is on A-Z order, AFAIR there are two icons, one for A-Z and other for ??? - they behave the same...

But back on topic, if you didn't already do a factory reset, clear database and delete the 2 FiiO app folders, reboot and rescan - I know a few people who did that and solved their problems permanently.

My 2 cents

Hi, I use to be in "Pure Music" mode so I'll start from there:

Pure music mode
Swipe down twice
Settings
Scroll down to "Factory data reset"
"Reset Device" and wait for device to reboot...

Note: This doesn't erase music from internal storage

... after restart:

Android mode
Open FiiO music App
Cog wheel top left, scroll down...
"Reset Database"
Exit App
Open "ES Explorer"
Select top left tile "Internal storage"
Long press on "FiiOMusic" folder, it gets selected (green mark)
Select also the foder next to it "Imageloader"
Press the "Delete" icon bellow and delete both folders
Go back one step, select cleaner and clean recycle
Open FiiO app music, scan for songs, Scan all

Dear TomKorn,

Sorry to hear about that. Yes, please try to clear the data of FiiO Music from(Andriod mode--settings--app--all--fiio music--clear data) to see whether it helps? What about  switching to another play mode?

Best regards
