Updated to latest beta (3.0.11)

Correctly scanned my entire library (6621 tracks)
As others have alluded to, gapless still not working in the FiiO app, and neither is replay gain
But so far everything else seems really stable - including bluetooth, and I can confirm aptx is working.

For those who need gapless and replaygain, I would (again) suggest using Neutron play as the interface, as both are available and working perfectly.  Then you can switch back once FiiO gets it implemented on their app again.

All in all - the new Beta series is looking (and sounding) pretty darn good.

I need to try neutron on fw. 11, but on. 6 the pause button fast forwards.

Still does.  But simple matter of turning on screen and using touch interface.  Those picky about having everything perfect won't be happy - but gapless works - and if I'm listening a to a Floyd album, I can put up with minor glitches as long as playback is seamless.

Agreed. However, the physical button us habit for me now and I hit it without thinking. Frustrating. Sounds great though!

Is it just me or the physical volume buttons sometimes act weird.

Was listening to some tracks awhile ago then while screen is off, tried changing volume but it changed the track instead

I have a momentum 2 (android version) and I can't control the volume from the cable remote control. It only response to the central button (play/pause)

Yes it does and don't ask me why, 3.0.8 and 3.0.9 were not so good. Up to 3.0.7 fine, 3.0.10 and 11 even better. At 3.0.9 I wasn't liking the way SQ was going, Neutron was sounding better for me so I went back to 3.0.7. Now happy again and back to FiiO music App.

Btw I didn't write much about it but +1 supporter for the importance of gapless playback

My 2 cents

Does anyone else have a dk1? I'm Aware it passes through just the DAC, but the volume of everything is very diminished, even more so than when I just plug in my headphones directly into my computer. Is that normal??

You don't plug headphones into it.  That is a line level out for powered speakers or a headphone amp.

Fiio certainly saw gapless as an option/priority with the X3 and X5 and if I'm not mistaken the X7 is advertised to provide gapless. I can't imagine Fiio not addressing this down the road but I agree that this is frustrating.

The gapless playback take more time than we expected but of course we will add it in the new firmware.

James, I have no doubt that Fiio will come through.  I've dealt with this type of stuff since the X3 and although sometimes frustrating it always works out in the end.
