Hey guys, I preordered the new FIIO X5 DAP that comes out next month and I was wondering if it's worth pairing it with my FIIO E12 portable amp. Or should I ditch the E12 and use the headphone out port and internal DAC directly?

I think I have read somewhere that Fiio actually suggest people to pair the x5 with e12 if they use balanced armature earphones. I personally have not tried the x5 before so please correct me if I am wrong.

I own the senn momentums and am thinking of buying the fiio x5.Is it a wise choice?I listen to mostly flac music.Also what about an amp?

Get the X5 first - if you don't feel it is enough, then consider an amp later. I'll say for the majority out there, getting an extra amp for X5 is almost redundant given how power X5 already is.
