I just got my red X5III. I haven't listened to it yet, but I've been getting used to the gui and figuring out Android.
(I wasn't thrilled at first. When I powered it up, I got an error code that the disc didn't mount or something. I had to reboot. Then it froze on the welcome screen. Eventually, it worked.)
Quick question about putting in an SD card. Am I supposed to fit the card into the card into the tray and then slide them in together? Or slide the card in and then the tray after it? I assume it's the former. But the instructions could be read to mean the other way. And the instructions could provide more info on how to fit the card into the tray.
More important, I tried to connect the X5 to my Mac Mini by usb through a hub. The Mini did not see the X5, although it did charge. I then connected directly to the usb port on my display -- this worked. Is there a type of USB hub I need so that I can transfer files through the hub? Or is file transfer not possible through a hub?
For the iSyncer app, there are a couple of versions for syncing iTunes to Android. Is one better than the other? I assume the $9.99 fee is worth paying?
Last question (for now): The folders on the X5 database are reverse alphabetical order -- Z on top. Is there a setting to flip this around?
Thanks in advance.
I suggest, you first upgrade the system to the newest firmware.
Several USB issues have been fixed since the first release.
Regarding the microSDXC card:
Yes, they slide in together. You best turn the X5 upside down to slide it in, so the card does not fall out of the tray
In wich app do you have the sort issue?
I did the firmware update (it took a while, the connection to the network kept crapping out). Still no luck with the USB hub. Which is odd. I'm not sure why my Mini sees the Fiio when I connect to the port on my Dell display, but not when I connect to a hub, which is in turn connected to the display port. The hub does work with a USB thumb drive. But neither "drive" of the Fiio (internal, 200 gb sd) appear in Finder. (I'm on a Mac.)
Thanks for the info on inserting the SD card.
The folder issue is with the Pure Music app. Is there another music player app on the Fiio, or do I need to download something if I want an alternative to pure music?
Thanks again.
