I am using a San Disk ultra 64 GB Class 10. Do you relly only have 128mb? Must be an older card then. Maybe this is causing the issue.

Keeping the downloaded songs should be normal app behaviour when updating.

Have you tried reinstalling the App or even resetting the Fiio to default?

opps... should be Sandisk 128GB Ultra Class 10.

Yes, by right it the downloaded songs should be still there after the app is updated, i have Spotify installed in my Note 3 too and never encounter this problem.

Yes, tried both - reinstalling the app and reset the Fiio to factory default.  Anyway, I will try the second card slot and try another cards to double check everything.  Thank you for confirming the Spotify Premium works perfectly with Firmware 1.1.0.  At least I know it is not a firmware or app issue.

I would ask same thing :) is member selection for review tour ended? And is only experienced headfiers capable to join tour? I am from Turkey and recently updated my IEM with 1More Triple Driver and as DAC I got Meridian Explorer 2. These are very first steps I took to enter hifi league. And looking more IEMs and also DAPs to try and review :)

Day 4
x5iii usb out or bluetooth into Audio Pro T10 while cleaing out the back up fish tank in the utility room (line out wins)

x5iii coaxial out into Naim system DAC hifi system, out through Neat speakes in the den

Sounds good through both plenty of detail

perhaps unfair to put it up against a Naim NDS playing from a Uniti Core ssd server but it did n't need to hang its head in shame (NDX wins).

Is that because of X5 3 s software limitation? Because I am downloading to SD card on my LG V20 (Nougat)

Edit: I later read other posts and seems X5 3rd supports downloading music to SD card with Tidal app. But may be a firmware upgrade is needed.

 chaturanga, yep, we did fix
issue where some third-party music apps could not save downloads to the external SD cards on our FW 1.1.0.

Just finished my review, hope you guys find it informative! Overall, the new 3rd Generation X5 boasts a far nicer build and finish to previous models in addition to improved sound quality. However, this time the device is not held back by a mediocre software experience. Fiio's adoption of Android grants the player with huge software flexibility yet the retention of hardware controls does not compromise on usability. Nice job Fiio!

1. What music was used? 2. What is your prefference in sound? 3. If the X5III sounded anywhere near your sound rating I would not have bought it after demoing it.

My music of choice and preferences are under the "About Me – Some background, Gear of choice, Preferences and Biases" section! I apologize if you think my sound rating is too low or my description of the sound is inaccurate, but either way, that was the score I came to with the headphones I had on hand and when compared to my most familiar sources (which all may be quite sculpted, but they are the best reference I can provide). I am always interested in hearing other's impressions, perhaps there is even unit variation among those sent out for review and sale, who knows.

Music you put open doesnt state which tracks you used to come up with the rating. Seems for portable use you rate the ipod on top?

I suppose unlike some reviewers, I don't just use a handful of tracks in my evaluation (though I can see how that would be effective), I listened to 100's on the X5 III and cycled through them when ABing with my HA-2, I plugged them both into my laptop and used the playback device switcher. There were too many to drop in the review but I will consider making lists like that in the future.

I'm not sure where you read about the iPod, I use a Nano 7G for running/gym work and have a 6th gen touch for general household use/streaming, but I mostly use my HTC 10 (around 70-80% of the time). I mostly attach my HA-2 when listening to my HD700's but on the go, the 10 drives my earphones just fine. I do like iPods (mostly for their UI) and the Touch makes for a great multi-media device, but as a dedicated audio player I tend not to recommend them.
