Dear friend,

The play mode you choose is not shuffle mode, right? The issue will happen everytime or sometimes?

Best regards
i just noticed it significantly today, and to be frank, I dont even know where the shuffle option is, so i guess it's not shuffle. 2 albums ago it didnt happen, but on the last album it jumped

Looks very sturdy, the description on eBay said it has a magnetic closure... that is a plus. Maybe a little expensive.

Hey Guys,

Long time reader first time writer. Does anybody have a workaround to locking the physical buttons on the device when the screen is locked? The player lacking a lock toggle is basically the only complaint I can make about this otherwise rock solid DAP but accidentally hitting buttons is frequently a frustration.

Thanks,

~LR

In the settings you can actually indicate which buttons you want to turn off when the display is locked. Swipe down twice from the top, chose the gear in the top right, drop down to Key-lock Settings, chose your buttons.

Does the X5iii have airplane mode? It seems like wifi is killing the battery even though its off.

Are you using the older firmware? This should be sorted with the new firmware as my battery life seemed ok after upgrading to FW1.1.5 last weekend.

If you are using the older firmware, you can try to off the wifi completely, and then do a reboot so that it will not eat into your battery. If you just turn off the wifi while playing, it will still be affecting your battery life. Thus, you can still use the old firmware, but don't turn on the wifi after a reboot, or if you have to turn on the wifi for a while, remember to switch it off and then do a reboot before listening again.

Interesting that I was running a test last week to compare the battery life of my X5III playing same songs (just lossless ALAC) vs my Sony ZX2. X5III battery dead after around 8hr+, but my ZX2 still showed 75% battery left!

Hope that the battery life of the X5III will improve after a few recharge cycles.

Yeah the battery is pretty weak...1 hour of spotify playback in the morning, 8 hours of idle, 1 hour in the afternoon and there's ~30% left. We are nowhere near the announced 10 hours of playback.

Best regards

I get the impression that offline spotify playback is more battery consuming than Fiio Player playback. I also believe that higher bitrate files consume more battery.

Your belief that hi bitrate files affect battery life is not just a belief but a well known fact, not just for the X5III but for all DAP's that are hi-res capable.

When you have two sd cards mounted and using Tidal offline (downloading albums) and it gets full (device or first card), will the device use second card or how is it managing it? I don't have this player (yet?).

Second question does anyone played with beyerdynamic t 5 p II? How well does it sound together?

Hi All

I'm using Fidue A83 IEM's with my X5iii. I've tried the IE800, Fidue Sirius A91 and Shure SE846 with a Questyle QP1R. Can anyone offer their experience on what they would sound like on the warmer X5iii?

I'm also open to other suggestions as well. I live in Jersey, a small island between England and France with no dealers, so have to narrow my choices down by others opinions and website reviews.

Thanks in advance.

Darren

Can someone please shed some light on this?
