Anyone have any idea where I can buy an X5 ?
Thanks
Thanks
I'm sorry it might be my lack of understanding of English, but some people say the sound signature of X5 III is smooth and I don't really get that.. What do you mean by "smooth"? Does it mean flat or neutral without any emphasis on sound?

Some friends suggested us to make the bands a little closer together to stack with a variety of amps and DACs.
We use our current stacking kit to stack with Mojo well , as the following pics , how do you think about it ?
It means that the top end is smooth. Hard to say in words.
The top end compared to X5ii is like the top end of HD598 and HD650 is compared to HD800 - you own all from your profile. Does this make enough sense?
when you hear music from a good source, often the DAC in the unit will draw out the details in the music, this can be many things (good and bad, imperfections, etc) and from many things(bright DAC, poorly mastered music, etc), including among them sharp edges in the sound that can sound unpleasant at times, and contribute to listening fatigue.
when people say that it is smooth, generally it means that those sharp edges/spike is tamed a bit, which can be done with many approaches, makes the notes thicker, reducing sibilance region, etc.
you can say that you lose some details(in a way) since those imperfections are part of the music as well sometimes(eg. music that is not mastered carefully and so has lot of harshness in it), but those imperfections does not sound good and needs to be eliminated for the sake of music enjoyment.
The X5 III has a smooth sound but it is not overdone and details still shine through without being harsh and fatigueing.
Looks like the Mojo could slide out easily to me. Its only supported on the top edges
@fiio - if you push the mojo on one of the long edges, does it slide out of the bands easily?
Appreciate you including support for the Mojo though!

i think you can do much better. Having said that i think this is the right path. Do you mind stacking A5 with this kit at some point and posting a pic please.
EDIT: I wish my drawing skills were as good as my imagination
