@cleg: what do you mean by reduced DR on remastered version ?
Sorry for offtopic.
I mean dramatically reduced dynamic range in new remaster.

Lucky you, this is considered to be the best tour they ever made. I started to see them on No prayer...

How does the dynamic range get lowered in compressed music? I thought removes stuff which we are not so sensitive depending upon a psychoacoustic model.I saw the Number of The Beast tour back in the day. As you probably are aware when music is highly compressed the difference in amplitude between the various elements is reduced and as a result everything is equally loud. This makes music very fatiguing as the normal amplitude differences in less compressed music helps the hearing brain make sense so when it is very compressed the brain is extremely stimulated and I suspect the lack of dynamics doesn't allow the brain to fully deal with the stimulus pieces before it is slammed with more. Just a theory of mine, but I would like to look for some real research about how loudness in music causes fatigue. We know it does, but I would like a neurological explanation for what the hearing brain is confronted with.

Just managed to pick up a decent priced Fiio Balanced cable for use with my SE846's ready for trying when my X5III arrives. I'm aware I may get increased background hiss and this would be awkward to work with my iFi iMatch adapter to deduce the hiss without a number of adapters (3.5mm on iMatch).
I know little about balanced so just a quick question: With the balanced cable in the normal 3.5mm headphone socket on DAP/Phone (with 2.5 to 3.5 adapter) would I hear anything or totally messed up sound ?
Only the balanced output will output balanced sound. I might misunderstand the question though?
a 2.5 to 3.5 mm TRRS adapter should be fine if the output is balanced and the cable is balanced
On a side note..
I am tweaking the hell outta Neutron.
If i like an item this is kind of a ritual for me
Let's keep it on topic, please.
Put more simply. If I plug my earphones with balanced cable into a normal headphone socket of a smartphone will they work without having to swap back to my unbalanced cable or not work/sound bad.
And, I've upset someone & took some flack for defending you comparison video in the DX200 thread ....Funny
How far you off doing full review on the DX200 & X5III ?
Let's keep it on topic, please.

I never look st it. To me its not there. See the power of a controlled mind?
I know exactly what you mean

Hi Guys,
Reading all these posts is increasing my interest on X5 3, I can't wait to listen to it. A few days back my mind was hesitating between X5 3, Opus#1 and Plenue M2 but right now I am so set on getting X5 3.
Especially "Hawaiibadboy", you inspired me to go with X5 3.
Also, can you recommend me IEMs to pair with X5 3? I am looking for a straight fit rather than over the ear like the Shure IEMs (if they are too good, I will try to adjust).
My budget is $300 - 400.
