  X5 is top notch. I'm glad I found out about the model through head fi.
 
I am intrigued by the possibility of an X72G. No one's made mention of it, but I suspect it's inevitable. The UI of the X5 is the main weakness. Having a searchable database would be a huge boon for usability and convenience for sure. 
 
I'll have to read up on the AM's though, as I don't know much about them. 

With 200 gb microsd's available now, a 400 gb library can be accommodated. Search ability would be MOST welcome. 

There is a search function.  It's kind of primitive, but searches by first letter only.  Also, 256 gig micro cards are available now so 500 gigs is possible.

That's not a search function. That's a list by alphabetical order.

It is somewhat of a search function and a great addition to the UI. Android based daps and its user interface really isn't for me. I let go of my AKjr and ak100II cause the X5II was just better for me. I prefer how the X5II works and I hope it keeps its hardware buttons to navigate its interface for the next generation.

FiiO EX1 is a great choice.

I don't know if you've tried them or not, but they really do pair well with the X5II.  I had the Titans and I can't see paying nearly $100 for them when the EX1 is $69.  I think the EX1 has a better cable over the Titan's as well.

I've had both with the X5ii and whilst I agree it's not worth paying extra for the Titan 1, I couldn't listen to either.
 
Will just keep as an emergency spare if no-one wants it.

I use Fidue A83 IEM's, which I really like. Got some Audioquest Nighthawke headphones, but have them for sale on here.
