Factory reset it if you have that glitch. Once you do that, make sure EQ is always off before you turn on USB mode. Never turn eq on during usb. This isn’t really good enough is it? I’ve just spent over £300 on a device that I cannot use either USB or Parametric on, and that the PEQ would not be fixed for another month!! Then I ask for the updated firmware which is clearly available as you’ve offered it to somebody else and I’m told I have to wait!
You say the firmware fixes “some problems”, can you clarify what is fixed and what is not?
once you switch to Bluetooth mode you can use eq - just always ensure it’s off before switching to any other mode.
I’m fine to give them a month to fix this beta software - as the device itself offers lot of promise, excellent sound for the money with promise to be essentially an audiophile Qudelix which is what I’ve been waiting for few years now… pestering everyone on this forum from ifi to Cayin to Shanling, and annoying quite a few representatives in the process.. and here’s Fiio finally about to give me the golden egg. I don’t think they’ll let us down, they sound quite confident this will turn out to be a PEQ powerhouse.
* this is not to say that Fiio can chill. Their PEQ software has been very slow to update/upgrade. I have the BTR7 for a while now and it still only has on type of PEQ filter option, and only 3 custom profiles with a bunch of useless eq presets taking up space. It’s far from what Qudelix are doing with their regular updates and listening to customer feedback. Software is key, give it a proper team and attention like Qudelix and the dividends will pay off believe me.
There is a reason RME ADi 2 fs is selling like hotcakes (it’s not mostly about its sound quality). If Q15 becomes a mini portable RME, it’ll sell like hotcakes.
