You say the firmware fixes “some problems”, can you clarify what is fixed and what is not?

Factory reset it if you have that glitch. Once you do that, make sure EQ is always off before you turn on USB mode. Never turn eq on during usb.

once you switch to Bluetooth mode you can use eq - just always ensure it’s off before switching to any other mode.

I’m fine to give them a month to fix this beta software - as the device itself offers lot of promise, excellent sound for the money with promise to be essentially an audiophile Qudelix which is what I’ve been waiting for few years now… pestering everyone on this forum from ifi to Cayin to Shanling, and annoying quite a few representatives in the process.. and here’s Fiio finally about to give me the golden egg. I don’t think they’ll let us down, they sound quite confident this will turn out to be a PEQ powerhouse.

* this is not to say that Fiio can chill. Their PEQ software has been very slow to update/upgrade. I have the BTR7 for a while now and it still only has on type of PEQ filter option, and only 3 custom profiles with a bunch of useless eq presets taking up space. It’s far from what Qudelix are doing with their regular updates and listening to customer feedback. Software is key, give it a proper team and attention like Qudelix and the dividends will pay off believe me.

There is a reason RME ADi 2 fs is selling like hotcakes (it’s not mostly about its sound quality). If Q15 becomes a mini portable RME, it’ll sell like hotcakes.

Some feedback, please consider.

1. Allow more than 3 custom PEQ profiles - at least 10. Feel free to remove the preset profiles - I guarantee you 99% no one will complain.

2. add different type of PEQ filter options, not just one.

3. Allow volume control from app - and other settings.

4. Allow always on LCD display option

5. Add always on LCD live frequency spectrum option like RME. So I can admire the Q15 instead of doing work.

6. DSP settings options, like dithering or some other sound character tweaks if possible.

Yes, you are right
Q15 Support PD quickcharging and QC3.0 quick charging handshake protocol,
it will automatically recognize to 5V gear or 9V gear.
It is not recommended to use an adapter without PD and QC3.0 protocols and with fixed output over 9V for long time use.

Can directly use the adapter with stable output at 9V for long time use.

PD 3.0 is OK?

Having downloaded v.1.66 it's a much more stable device with Bluetooth, haven't had chance to test USB yet. I'm hoping the next firmware can fix some of the other issues!

If will be available peq for usb mode in future and skip track for usb mode in future?

Bluetooth audio from my macbook seems to sound a bit better instead of usb even though it's lossy codec - not sure if i am imagining things, or maybe something with the firmware..

Personnaly I use the fiio control panel that you have with the firmware package or with the Fiio control app on phone
@FiiO Willson except that I just made a try and on fiio control panel I'm on V1.59, but on Fiio control app i'm seeing as 0.36 seems to be a bug on fiio control app

The software version shown in the APP is the verson of Bluetooth software,
now the Bluetooth does not need to be upgraded.
I am talking about the system version, the latest system version is V1.66

Regarding the temporary unavailability of PEQ, as we have shown on the sales page,
PEQ requires a lot of work, and in fact this is the case for many software complex products nowadays, and the software needs to be gradually upgraded to realize more functions subsequently.

In fact, I am afraid that you wait, so I told you in advance, but the company has a process to update the firmware, will not be particularly fast, this also need to understand a little more.

Your suggestion is good and we will evaluate it.
1, PEQ we have 3 now,

2, Volume control via APP, this has to be evaluated to see if it can be done

3, LCD long light is technically not a problem, we mainly want to save the power consumption of the machine, if you forget to turn off the screen, the power will be consumed faster!

The 5th point 6 should not be realized, this is very difficult

Q15 not support spatial audio like TWS.
Q15 will support PEQ for USB mode later but don't support skip track for usb mode in future.

I feel the same way, I prefer to listen to the bluetooth input of Q15
