It is probably a hardware problem on mine and really don't know why. The info I gave was their response to me when I thought it could be a warranty issue. I really don't fault Fiio since it isn't listed as a feature.

I think OTG was listed as feature when they first came out.  I know they were backpedaling on OTG when the X5 Gen II came out; I suppose that extended to the X3 Gen II also.

Hi, I think the Apple CCK can not work with FiiO DAPs. So you maybe plan to connect the FiiO DAC/amp with the Apple CCK?

  Hi. I am using OTG in my Fiio X5 2nd Gen. I play tracks through "Browse files" option. My question is, is there any way to play tracks continuously? or you really have to press next button to play the next track? Am I missing to select an option for that?

You can try to go access to "Play settings" -> "Play through folders", and set it to ON. Then it will play next folder automatically without pressing the next button once the previous one is finished. 
BTW, it is suggested to set the Play mode to Sequential or Shuffle when running the function of "Play through folders".

The apple lightning to USB cable (CCK cable) works with the Q1. I've done it. Is it different for DAPs?

The cck does work work with the x3. Both generations.

One does need a usb hub that removes the power information There are ten dollar portable versions that eliminate the powered hub requirement

I suggest that we all let know FIIO that we would like this feature restored.  Unless, or course, you do not want it restored.  I think FIIO will be monitoring other threads for feedback on the new X3 firmware, not this thread.

I saw a cable on ebay the other day described as OTG, and as it was very cheap I thought it was worth a try, and it worked.
 
Do I get a prize for the neatest OTG implementation ??

I now only need the stacking kit when lashing the E12 onto the X5.

After updating my X5II to FW Vers. 2.0 the OTG Function do not work anymore.
Is this Feature canceled in the FW 2.0?
Must i change some Settings?
Before this it works fine with OTG Cable and 128GB LEXAR USB STICKs.
 
BUT i buy 3 of this Sticks (BRAND NEW and ORIG. PACKED) from a USA Seller. 2 of them workin´with OTG Cable and 1 of them do NOT work. I whas a bit surprised about thiat

Hi, yes, the 2.0 version cancels the otg function to keep the system stable.
