FIIO OTG Support Thread

No problem - I had been experimenting with playlists and seeing how big I could make one which would still open. I got to 13500 and like yours it took a couple of minutes to open but it worked fine. At 16500 the X5 crashed. I don't know if the mk II X5 could cope with more than the mk 1, but you may be getting near to the limit with 12000+.

I have 21000 songs on my X5 so have no way of shuffling the whole lot.

I found something new to work with my X3 II and 1.4 firmware. So far, I used
OTG cable with usb stick or card adapter. Those two memories have two
usb adapters, one normal and one micro. They both boast to be OTG.

Someone has them or, even better, used them? Kingston drive has 2.0 and
3.0 version. Which might be better choice to work with X3 ?
Best regards.

Those look like nice solutions.  I just use a $4 OTG cable and PNY sticks but that is less elegant that your proposal.  I have not tested the sticks you suggested however.

The same. Cable and stick or cable with adapter and card. Too much.
Aside those kingston and silicon power, I found also sandisk has one
drive with normal and micro usb adapter.
My doubt is what would work out of the box? Further, version 2 or 3?
Older probably means better chance.
If I don't get an answer from someone, who has a drive, I'd go after 3.0
kingston. If else, I would have new usb stick.
It would be fine if Fiio shares data about this. Like: "I privately used this
or that and...".
