@FiiOWhat is the difference between M7 and M9?
I own a M7, but several things are not good (bad display, crashes, a simple music app with less functions, simple EQ)...
If you really want Bluetooth then get the M9.
Sound wise I do find the DX120 to be a tier up. Its a sound chameleon actually. Aside from 5 digital filters it also has 5 sound modes that can change it from neutral to warm sounding. If I were to go for the DX120 it would mainly be for the superior bass extension.
Either way both would be much better than the X1.
It's been a while since I heard the M3S but I do believe that the M9 is better.Hi Seanwee. As the Fiio M9 appears to uses the same DACs as the Shanling M3S - I'm curious if you happen to have heard the Shanling M3S and, if so, how it compares sound quality wise?

It actually looks even better in real life1. FiiO M9 Portable High-Resolution Audio Player丨The Ultimate in Versatility
The two AK4490EN DACs employed in the M9 feature a high signal-to-noise ratio, exceptional dynamic range, and low distortion – making for a precise yet exciting sound signature.

Its physically very attractive for a DAP, however the specs are less than desired. the power output for both 3.5 and 2.5 are very weak. even my X5 III has more output power than the M9... sad, seems i wont be picking this DAP up after all.
If you want lots of driving power you may want to consider the Opus 1S.Its physically very attractive for a DAP, however the specs are less than desired. the power output for both 3.5 and 2.5 are very weak. even my X5 III has more output power than the M9... sad, seems i wont be picking this DAP up after all.
