Headphone out specifications 1(3.5mm port)
Output power 1 ≥125mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%) Output impedance <2Ω
Output power 2 ≥170mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%) THD+N <0.002%(1kHz/32Ω)
Output power 3 ≥19mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%) Separation >72dB
Frequency response 5Hz~80 kHz(-3dB) Peak output voltage 6.5Vp-p
SNR ≥118dB (A-weighted) Noise floor <5uV
Headphone out specifications 2(2.5mm port)
Output power 1 ≥125mW(16Ω / THD+N<1%) Output impedance <2Ω
Output power 2 ≥195mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%,balanced turbo off)
≥220mW(32Ω /THD+N<1%,balanced turbo on) THD+N <0.002%(1kHz/32Ω)
Output power 3 ≥24mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%,balanced turbo off)
≥77mW(300Ω / THD+N<1%,balanced turbo on) Separation >98dB
Frequency response 5Hz~80 kHz(-3dB) Peak output voltage 7.07Vp-p
SNR ≥113dB (A-weighted) Noise floor <10uV
If these numbers are correct then power output is more than ok!

Here are the specs for X7II.

What do you need all this power for? If you intend to drive 600 ohm headphones, a "normal" dap is probably not the right device. I can drive both Beyer Amiron and Aeon Open with the X7II in SE and I don't get past 80/120. Not saying that this is the best combination, but it's possible.

M9
Output power 2 ≥170mW(32Ω)

X7II
Output power 2 ≥150 mW(32Ω)

I'm going to be using the dap mostly for my B&O H6 when outside (they dont require much power so i know they're not the focus here.) what im gonna be using them more for is my DT1990 Pro's and Audeze LCD2C and potentially AKG K712Pro and possibly my friends Hifiman Sundara.

I'm looking at the new Cayin N5iiS and maybe the A&K AK70 MK II, A&norma SR15,or the AK100II.

its hard to find a DAP that can push all thoes headphones mentioned above (minus the B&O H6II) without going over 800$CND.. by a lot..

I believe the DX150 can do all those with different amps of course!

Based on the specs, the M9 looks fantastic: small, affordable, and capable of Tidal offline playing.

That being said, my experience with the X7, 1st gen, has taught me to be extremely cautious about initial claims made by Fiio, claims that are never realized even after two years of updates.

I hope the M9 will truly have (1) a reliable wifi, (2) an absence of audible wifi interference/noise when using Tidal online and (3) an absence of stuttering songs when using Tidal offline.

It will drive the Sundara fine. Even the N5ii manages with its 150mw/32ohm output.
