1.not being able to rename playlists
2 not being to able add folders to a playlist instead i have to go in the folder and then bulk add.
3. being able to add m3u playlist
hopefully this can be fixed in the next firmware update
Dear friend,

We have reported your feedback to the engineer. We will try to add the m3u playlist support in next firmware update.

I have had my M5 for around a week and it's a great sounding player but I noticed the following things or bugs.

No replay gain
No text scroll
SD card glitch where sometimes any of my SD cards are not seen. Have to turn it on and off a few times for them to be found.
Also using it as a USB DAC in windows 7 I used the driver supplied on the FiiO website and the highest I can get is 24bit and 192khz and not the 32bit and 384khz as advertised.

Dear friend,

We have reported your feedback to the engineer.
Were you playing 384k file and selecting ASIO outout in your software?

The user interface really is horrible. It is a huge disappointment for my enthusiasm before receiving the device.

It is almost impossible to navigate larger music libraries with this device. File-based navigation would in theory work for playback on a per album base, but I can not really see the folder names because the text is cut off.

Playback of more than one album at a time (e.g. random playback of all albums in a folder) is impossible because it is not possible to add directories to a playlist recursively.

This is a huge letdown for me and I am thinking about returning it

@FiiO

You must resolve the problem with the text scrolling.
It's a major let down , I wonder how you came to release a product with this major problem.
I am reviewing M5 and this is a huge negative.
Dear friend,

We have reported those feedback to the engineer. And we will try to add the text scrolling support in next update.

Best regards

I found another annoying thing. When playing a mp3 on the device and changing the volume I can notice a delay about 1 second.
Dear friend,

How do you notice the delay? When adjusting the volume, there will be 1s mute?

Best regards

I mean the delay between the actual change of volume. It is just slow, there is no mute but just damn slow volume control. The new level is instantly shown on the display but the actual change can only be heard after around 1 second

Thanks, the player is much better now in terms of navigation. However, I wonder why quick search does not work in file browser?

Nonetheless, I am still returning it, I can hear a lot of quantization noise when using the player at moderate volumes with my Weston um50pro in DAC mode or when directly listening to music. For example the beginning of "Also sprach Zarathustra" from Karajan
