Pretty nice. You didn’t like the stock cable on the Z1Rs?My photos of the case above. Not bad for about $24 delivered. It fits the 7Hz Timeless in their case, the EIR-Z1Rs and the DAP under the divider.

Nice! Finally able to get the m17 setup while masking the wires and power conditioner. My wife got sick and tired of looking at the cables. Haha.
The standard cable Ok but for some reason the hooks got really sticky and disgusting. Plus, the Fiio cable I'm using now is pretty well made and allows me to replace the plug with either balanced ones or single ended 3.5mm.Pretty nice. You didn’t like the stock cable on the Z1Rs?

You can download "Aida64" app from Google Play store and this app shows battery internal actual operating temp while playing music in the background.Unless people start giving actual temp readings with some type of measuring device while noting ambient temp, I don't think anyone can conclusively say what's "warm" versus "hot". I worked in a restaurant in my younger days and still cook a lot now but my wife swears I still have asbestos covered hands because what she considers "scorching" by touch, I feel is "warm".
When playing music from Tidal via Uapp I get 38-40c internal battery temperature with Focal Clear SE at volume level 70-80 Over Ear Mode. External housing temp feels a bit higher while holding in hand it gets really hot sometimes, but I think that is happening because of proper heat dissipation inside. So while external housing could get really hot sometimes, internal battery temp stays at acceptable, much lower temperature levels.

just to report that the local agent replaced the battery and my m17 is up and running againyes indeed and thanks again for the reminder. i read quite a lot of news reporting power banks or phones went on fire spontaneously but my impressions is most of such cases are about devices been used for some times and fairly rare for relatively new devices (except the note 7 design issue). i don't have a protection bag in hand so can just put it aside and hope it's not going to be that bad
happy enjoying with ie900 in low gain now

Where can I buy the cooling Dock and original leather case for m17?
Do you hear any difference when using linear psu? Finally able to get the m17 setup while masking the wires and power conditioner. My wife got sick and tired of looking at the cables. Haha.

I have installed the following android music players on my M17:
- USB Audio Player Pro (UAPP)
- Neutron Music Player
I can say without any doubt, to my ears that both are giving me better audio quality than the FIIO music app, and this is by a huge margin. The Neutron app has that feature that allows one to convert all to DSD, and supports DSD128 and DSD256. However the internal CPU of the M17 can't handle the PCM to DSD256 conversion , but it handles DSD128 without any issue. The sound quality of both UUAP and Neutron is quite similar to my ears. I love both.

Of course it handles it. It handles it well. First make sure you are updated to the latest Neutron app. Then make sure 64 bit AND Multithreading is enabled. Works flawlessly for me.I have installed the following android music players on my M17:

Wow!! Thanks a lot. Yes, with your suggested setting changes, I am now playing PCM->DSD256 smoothly. Excellent!!!Of course it handles it. It handles it well. First make sure you are updated to the latest Neutron app. Then make sure 64 bit AND Multithreading is enabled. Works flawlessly for me.
That's why, I freaking love this forum!!!!

Would be so kind as to educate me why these two apps are so much better? I’m just learning. And how do you get your Qobuz playlists in them?I have installed the following android music players on my M17:

From a sound quality standpoint, as per my ears, these two apps sound better than the FIIO (it is not even arguable). Per the developers of these two apps, their applicationsWould be so kind as to educate me why these two apps are so much better? I’m just learning. And how do you get your Qobuz playlists in them?
bypass the internal audio processing engine of the Android OS to prevent any resampling by Android in order to send bit-perfect audio directly to the audio hardware( DAC) of the device. It is a known issue that Android resamples audio to 48KHz, and it is limited to 48Khz. They are not using the android audio API but their own. This is similar to what ASIO does on a windows platform in order to work around the known bit mangling issue of the windows OS internal audio mixer.
