@JamesFiiO ... while we have your attention and this is in the planning & development stage I'd like to ask you...
Can you please deliver this with a good parametric EQ? One where the parametric EQ operates at the native in-depth and sampling rate of the music being played. With a minimum of 7 bands, but 10 is better. So that we can take advantage of the fantastic internal amplification this will have, but driving headphones which needs _-parametric-_ equalization (to achieve subjective perfection). A crudely inaccurate slider only 10-band eq with fixed center frequencies and fixed Q is _-not-_ sufficient.
I stopped using your music player on my X7 for example (which I absolutely have to upgrade from to something else and am strongly considering this, with the desktop grade THX amp being a major draw for me). I use USB Audio Player Pro instead. Which has a hi-res driver and can take full advantage of the X7's dac chip. Because the author partnered with Toneboosters and delivers the player with a really nice parametric EQ, which has a 10-band fully parametric non-graphical mode of operation. I had to purchase that. But it was well worth the few dollars.
I'll be completely honest. If this M17 is delivered with the same FiioMusic that runs on my M6, with the same crude and very functionally limited slider-only standard 10-band EQ, I will not buy the M17. As your flagship product with truly top of the line performance, it deserves and should have top of the line software too. A very capable native bitrate 7 to 10 band -parametric- EQ fulfills that requirement.
Thank you very much for your time. I hope you will see the value in what I wrote above and deliver it.
P.s. off-topic yet related: you did this partner relationship with Viper4Android on the X7. I bought a license for the Convolution filter and another. Why did the latest firmware of the X7 do away with that? I can no longer use that which I paid $ for to use exclusively with my X7. And another reason I'm using UAPP instead of FiiO Music.
I second this and approve.
