We have put a THX 788+ inside M17, not the THX 888 which has bigger power output, in fact, the original THX 788 can't push out 3W constantly so we have to change the output stage OP amp , and that is also the reason we change the 15V to 12V. and provide a stand with fan so cool it down when it is powered by DC12V.

also I think for portable devide , m17 maybe the most powerful device in the world, and we are not going to make another portable device with bigger power .

See ? This is what I am talking about! At least there have to be some proper cooling mechanism, and a proper amplification stages that makes senses for the power rails being used. I have always wondered that the Asus ROG phones used Vapor cooling for a while, why not M17. Now, we are seeing it !! Does the back have air vents ? Or is it only the sides ? Is the back the whole one piece aluminum construction that assists in the cooling mechanism ?

The next thing I want to know is that the features between operation modes

Portable mode, does ES9038Pro change it operations ? Or only the amplification stage is changed ? Desktop mode, what does the DAC and the amps have to offer ?

So, the operation modes are with portable and running the amplifications mostly on +/-8V rails , then desktop modes are +/-11V rails. Both are either from 3.7V Lipo packs or DC 12V supplies. This is interesting!! With 3.5W power output, that is sitting right at the Cayin C9 level. Even the C9 has hissing and it is minimized in LDO stages. I look toward to early impressions

That's the question !!!
Even at 23 ohms of the the DCA Stealth it's a huge challenge for the 2x3W at 75 ohms of the Centrance M8V2... it's clipping very fast at 23 ohms with the Stealth
I really want to get as soon as possible the M17 I pre-ordered and see what happens at 23 Ohms.

Yes Hifigo.com is legit, I've bought many FiiO / Topping / KBear / KZ / GFCraftsman / Xduoo / etc items from Hifigo.com over the last 2+ years and Hifigo.com has always been reliable throughout the pandemic at getting items to me quickly.

I use Hifigo's $25 express shipping and got my packages delivered to me quicker than any other China/Aliexpress shippers. Hifigo checks with each of their shipping companies to find the current quickest route to get to me. Hifigo has used Fedex, DHL, and other shipping services that get to me even quicker than Fedex/DHL - they connect with the UPS and USPS for local delivery.

I also bought my Topping D90 MQA Pre-Order + Topping A90 and Xduoo TA-20 from Hifigo.com.

I agree, I am also impressed with the FiiO M17 components, and I look forward to more reviews on how it all turned out, before I make a purchase.

The M17 is a heck of a package, and I want to see how it operates in depth before jumping into one myself.

And, I expect to purchase my M17 from Hifigo.com, not from the China PD.com Pre-Sale.

I've emailed support@hifigo.com to ask if they miscalculated their $1999.99 price,
as FiiO has the M17 listed for ￥11999.00 which currently = USD $1879

Update: FiiO has their M11 Plus Ltd for M11 Plus Ltd $782.84 on JD.com while HIfigo has it for $749.99 on Amazon which is cheaper...I'm waiting for Hifigo's response for their M17 price...

Pretty sure that's correct. The USD price of $1,999.99 matches their TWD prices of $55,000.

Highly-capable audio performances will surely cause large power consumption. To effectively avoid the heating issue, the #FiiO Desktop Portable Music Player M17# takes a lot of measures by using the “H” style heat dissipation and VC (Vapor Chamber) technology. The whole shell of the M17 was hollowed out by an aluminium alloy plate, weighting about 151g with high heat capacity to better dissipate the heat internally. We even designed a fan for the M17 for faster heat dissipation.

"Sorry for late reply during weekend. the M17 is listed at $1999 on our store because oversea market we have a lot of extra cost etc and the quantity is limited."

As these are early days, without an official $USD price to go on from FiiO (?), Hifigo's price is theirs to set to cover their costs. I wouldn't be surprised if the MSRP changes when FiiO finally announces the official pricing for the US, but that price could go up as well as go down.
