So after trying the new unit,also after firmware update to 1.03

We have tried also different cables,also a second K9 Pro

Conclusion

You can not play flawless your tracks from the Sd Card which is in the M17 via Usb flawless to K9 AKM or other Dac Amp (TT2/Questyle/K9/etc etc)

Here the second brand new unit

@FiiO
@JamesFiiO

Perhabs you know what is wrong?

NOMAX

Ps.with every other of my players i can play flawless via USB into K9 and other Dac Amps

Flawless with other.....the question why not with M17?

I will control it this evening with something on the M17 SD card, but as :
-> I am doing it every day between M17 and SMSL SU9 DAC (USB-C cable plugged on the left connector of the M17) for 48, 96 or 192khz flac files in bit perfect mode and DSD in native mode with Neutron Player,
-> playing is totally flawless with no clicks from my upnp server and from my WD P50 4Tb SSD drive plugged on the right USB-C host port

=> I really doubt I will have some issues with my 1Tb Sandisk microSD card in the M17.

I imagine, your troubles should be either an issue with FIIO's player (that I never use as it can't be set as DLNA receiver) or an issue from the USB-C cable you are using, which is maybe not Thunderbolt 3 or 4 compatible cable (I only use Thunderbolt 3 and 4 USB-C cables, but thunderbolt 2 should be sufficient too for such Hires Files transfers).

PS.it seems you have a problem with the usb transfer output (bug)
Hopefully this will be fixed with the next firmware update very soon😉

Here, no bug at all very stable and efficient with the USB-C output to my external DAC => so it means, probably just not a proper USB-C cable on your side... you should try a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 usb-c to usb-c cable to confirm this....

It has nothing to do with the cable...notice...i am in the shop with many much higher priced usb cables 😉....we also tried fioo cablesBFEDBBAE-1788-420C-B8FB-EB39E30D6E59.jpeg

Price is not really a proof of the capacity of data speed transfer of the USB cable.
The cable you show us on the picture is not an USB-C connector to the DAC, it doesn't even look like an USB3 connector (should be Blue inside), but it looks more like a "simple old" USB2 connector (certainly not like Thunderbolt 3 or 4 of modern USB-C Cables) => So maybe the M17 can't handle well old USB2 DACs and have no issue with recent DACs. Unfortunately, I don't have anymore any old USB2 DAC to test with the M17.

I am not in a comedy to make a picture of all cables ...the M17 offers also 2 Usb Outputs ports 😉
And both do not work....3.0 and 2.0

PS.it looks also not the K9 PRO and next to my others DAC/AMPS

You have got to be one very unlucky man. That’s coming from me, Mr everything doesn’t just go wrong… it goes spectacularly wrong. But, so far, I had very minimal problems with my M17. (Touches wood)

I am now listening :
-> some playlist mixing some DSD files in native, mode hires 24/96 flac files in bit-perfect mode and even 16/44.1 lossless CD ripped files on a 1Tb Sandisk micro SD in the FIIO M17
-> the M17 is linked with a proper USB-C to USB-C thunderbolt 3 cable to a recent SMSL SU9 DAC,
-> this DAC is connected with 2 XLR cables to a Monolith THX887 2*6W@32 ohms amp
-> a HEDDphone One is plugged on XLR4 output of the monolith amp
The player used is the last version of Neutron Player => I can say, it's 100% flawless and switching between hires format almost without any clicks, (I could catch one click between 2 DSD files in one hour time).. and of course 100% Gapless even between large DSD files.

I don't have FIIO Player on my M17, as I uninstalled it ! It was really annoying that I could not avoid this player to take control of the USB port every time I connected the USB-C cable to the DAC. FIIO player can't be a proper DLNA renderer, so it's a too limited player and can't manage properly multiple libraries (on various microSD, SSD or Upnpservers) like Neutron can do.

Edit... strangely between 2 DSF files a little brief click can be heard .. not between flac files or flac <->DSF files
