it will be worth the wait… fiio really makes sure our dap to be are safe for use. lets hope we get kann level power and ultra large battery and wireless charging.
Kann alpha is far from being powerful (no real specs available at 32 ohms) .. and loads of distortion after a certain level of power, even with power hungry headphones (Like HEDD) it's impossible to use over 135/150 as it's totally a distorted result
I hope Fiio M17 will be at a far higher stage than the nearly obsolete and low cost Kann Alpha.

And that painfully slow user interface.
My M11Pro is far better than that.

M17 will generally have the better performance than M11 IMO.

M11 [and M11Pro], yes. M11Plus, no. That and the M17 both use the same SoC, Qualcomm 660.

I loved the "all to dsd" function on the M11Pro and I wonder if this new marvel will bump it up to "all-to-doubledsd"? That'd be awesome indeed!

Sounds like it will eat up a ton of the battery usage.

It will be interesting to see how the final unit turns out.
Looks very promising.

Any news about M17? Status, availability date, etc?

I think they said somewhere, announcement of M17 should be Q4 2022.

I just hope that for one time fiio won't put any outputs plugs same side as USB-C. I can't use M9 or M11 on a dock station just because 4.4mm output is same side as USB-C.
