EQ using the PowerAmp EQ working with Qobuz.

Poweramp works for me as well (with Qobuz and Deezer) although it occasionally causes distortion, and I have to kill Poweramp and restart it. This usually happens after the device restarts (I have it on a timer). I should probably switch to deep sleep instead.

My humble opinion: FiiO engineers have created a great product with great sound!
So why spoil it with equalizers?

Ok guys, I didn't want to start an EQ discussion here with my initial question.
I usually do not use EQs, because I prefer the original sound of the DAP/amp.
But , coming from the 300max, with very specific iem I realized, that it helped to make the treble with the M17 sound slightly smoother with the EQ.. and we all hear different.. that's all

It is around my usage scenario with MEST MK2 but I never had any temp alert even with All-to-DSD.

So I tried experimenting this afternoon and got the high temp alert myself. I put the player face down on the bed and did not move it or change position, after a few hours Not sure how long as I wasn't keeping track of the time the player gave a warning and shut the music stream (Tidal) I was using enhanced headphone mode plugged into AC.

So bottom line it's surely possible, if I keep it on the stand (no fan on as I never use the fan) or if it's laying on its side on the bed with both front and back exposed inside the leather case it never displayed any temp warning all these days that I have been using it.

Such a silly and useless post. Apparently from someone with zero technical background. Of course, that is not the issue. Issue is being insistent on a "religious" topic that has nothing to do with reality. Let me just ignore and move on.

I didn't even think about that...

The only downside is that i can't lock the orientation display, it comes back in the initial position but that's no so a real issue.

I'll do that first before installing the second screen, thanks man

You can further download screen orientation apps in Play Store and fix the screen without it doing auto rotate. It will solve this problem.

I'm not frequent user of DAC mode - having 2 1Tb microSD cards i can survive with one card inserted and Second card with inserted usb-c OTG sd reader. I was thinking about above usage scenario only to minimize power wires connections: listen player in DC mode connected to DC PS while power fan Cooler from one usb-c slot.

Yes, it works, but plz take care it may add some " hiss " into your IEMs
