I reset the database but the cover art did not appear. It was embedded. I then tried replacing the art and it worked fine.

What should I expect in the future when adjusting cover art or meta-data: should I always reset the database or does the app recognize when a file has been modified? Resetting the database takes a while (I have 12000 songs) and I would hate to lose playlists and favorites.

Thank you!
Dear friend,

Hi, thanks for the kind feedback. I reproduced this issue in M17 but not the M11Plus. Let me check with the engineer first.

Best regards

@FiiO
I cannot install the latest FiiO app via google play store. Neither on my M17 nor on my M11 plus. Any ideas? In addition, I cannot deinstall the app, because of non-root permissions.
Dear friend,

If you would like to update the FIIO Music app for M17 or M11Plus, you could download the APK file for M series from our forum.

The Google play version FIIO Music app is not suitable for M17.

Best regards

I ran into the same problem with my M11 Plus ESS...the FiiO app would not install the update after downloading from the Play Store. I then went into the app and in the About section it will show if there's an update available and I was able to download and install. Mine is now on 3.2.1.

So, at least on my unit, it only updates the FiiO player (at least this particular update) from within the app. Although the latest version is installed, the Play Store still prompts that an update is available (which I assume is 3.2.1).

Dear friend,

The Google play store version is not suitable for the player so you would need to update within the APP or download the M series version from our forum.
We will also report the situation you mentioned to the engineer.

Best regards

That FIIO M17 + FH9 iem would one day blow-up my ear drums. I am dealing with one particular situation with the M17.
I currently own two headphones: a sennheiser HD800s (impedance:300 ohm ), and a FIIO FH9 iem (impedance 18 ohm).
When using the M17 with the HD800s I normally set the volume to 75, and when using it with the FH9 I set it to 48.
The situation: Sometimes when switching to using the FH9 I forgot to lower the volume to 48. I nearly blew-up my ear drums twice.
Question: Is there a way to make the M17 remember the volume setting for each headphone, and to detect and automatically switch to that volume upon connecting such headphone?
