That depends on your view of power supplies and how they have an effect audio, in my case yes the PL50 and I prefer it to the iFi, both sound better than the stock ps .

+1, have it and it is perfect, better slam, background black as darkest night, increased dinamic range.

Added ROON Ready function

@FiiO , thanx so very much for the time, effort and expense in getting this done. It was a surprise to see how it is implemented, as a combo of RoonBridge and a Roon Display. But, I quickly accepted that. ;^)

I'm really beyond thrilled to finally have a portable roon endpoint that doesn't perform resampling to 48khz, and has a near unlimited power to drive my Audeze Euclid and iSine20 with Audeze preset DSPs active. I no longer need to use a Frankenstein stack of battery pack + kangaroo pc + dac/amp to achieve the same at lower fidelity .

And very big thanx for adding a PEQ to FiiO Music. Wondering if you can answer a question in that regard ... Is the DSP transform performed at the native sample rate of the music, or is everything up sampled or down sampled to a fixed level? And done at the bit depth of the music or 32 or 64 bit?

After downloading the firmware update 1.06, upgrading device ends in the Fiio screen Born for music and frees. I can only do a hard reset (to 1.04). Tried downloading and installing the zip-file same result. Any tips?

This is a large update, it’s no frozen. It will take up to 10 minutes to implement the changes. Be patient.

Thanks, Fiio, really keeping this "ole" M17 feeling new, it is not my only way to play music but I have to say, it is good to have it back, been using it quite often. In fact, it is coming with me to Tenerife next week, still pondering on which cans to take but likely the 109 Pro (over the Aeon) and, well, a selection of IEMs (Truthear, Tea and Up). Looking forward to some sweet sweet music, some sun and some of the new Jack Reacher (yes, i read AND listen to music...)

Can the firmware be downloaded from Fiio's website and install it later on the M17 as a local upgrade? It takes so damn long to download it from the M17

Hmm - maybe try a SanDisk Extreme Pro instead? More expensive than Ultra though (for a legitimate one, anyway).

The Sandisk pro reads data at 150 MB/s. The SanDisk Extreme Pro reads it at 200 MB/s.
Is there anyone else using a 1 TB micro sd card? And are you experiencing some difficulties?

SanDisk Extreme Pro 1 TB around 3/4 full of flac and some DSD, no problems after 6 months use.

Using a Micron Technology Inc. / MTSD1T0AKC7MS-1WT - 1TB sd card since February 2022 exclusively in my M17 (inserted one time and then never removed again).

About 60% filled. Not a single issue with it by now.
