FiiO M15S Pocket Desktop-Level Player Discussion & Impressions Thread

Tell me, my M15s does not unfold MQA. If you listen with Tidal with volume normalization enabled, Tidal makes the first unfold 44khz at 88 and there is no MQA icon. If you turn off volume normalization, the MQA icon appears, but the original frequency of 44khz is written even without x2 deployment. What is the problem??

Dear friend,

According to the latest MQA requirements, the sample rate before MQA compression should be shown (i.e. the source sample rate of the original file). So when playing a MQA track, the status bar and the FiiO Music now playing page will show the source sample rate of the MQA track

Best regards

Thank you. Tell me why the pause button stops working after a while? If you pause a track using this button and after a minute press it again, does playback not start until you unlock the screen?

Also I've noticed (only recently) that pressing the pause button for any extended period causes the M15s to drop out of desktop mode and ultra high gain. Does not seem to be related to screen timeout. After any extended pause and pressing the play button, the Desktop Mode/Ultra High Gain prompt comes up again requiring to you select in order to re-enter desktop mode. No change or discontinuation of USB power supply - just keeps prompting.

What is odd is that it never used to do this.....

Anyone else noticed this behavior? Frustrating....

Thanks,

Rich

Dear friend,

Hi, thanks for the kind feedback.
I failed to reproduce the same issue. Did you try with another usb cable and charger?
If the issue remains, you could upload the log files from technical support-online feedback. So our engineer could have a check. Thanks in advanced!

Best regards

Worked fine with the Apple USB-C Charger - the Anker USB-C charger worked fine for a month with no disruption to Desktop Mode. Not sure why it stopped working but the Anker must have some sort of current regulation that cuts power when sensing no charging is needed? Just a guess.

Have ordered an alternate U-Green compact 30 watt USB-C charger which I believe lacks current regulation of this type. Will see if this works. If not I'll stick with the Apple USB-C charger.

Thanks for the response!

Rich

Hello! The sampling rate is not displayed correctly and there is no playback via SPDIF. On any third-party players. Until you open/close Fiio Music.
