It is so and you cannot change it. Other DACs are doing the same if you are playing DSD files.

That is only possible if the eq is een extra analoge hardware stage build in feature, not through software alone, that is a hardware limitation of the dsd format.

Thank you @FiiO. However, I’m talking about the ‘all to dsd’ option in the audio settings. The files are flac but the option turned on. So the flac audio files are turned to dsd in the device? disabling the system eq. No native dsd files are played. I hope this makes sense to you. Cheers

I just noticed on my M11pro the VU meter is still available on the fiio music app... but I can't figure out how to get the VU meters to show on the M15s ??? did the VU meter go away on the m15s ??? edit: I got it figured out...see below...

Ok... I found out what was wrong and I couldn't get the VU to work... you have to go into theme and at the bottom is the selection of default or spectrum display.... click the default option and then while playing a song just hit the album cover and it will turn on the VU meter....

Apple music should bypass android SRC on the MS15s. That said, the sq on Apple music is always a tiny bit below stock player or Qobuz on all the DAPs I've tried, to my ears, which seem pretty much identical.

thank you, it means that streaming services are simply of slightly lower quality than music uploaded directly to an SD card (I always try to download flac files, etc., in good quality). This means that it was illusory to believe that streaming services provide the highest quality, but at least they broadcast lossless, and this is already an achievement, because this did not exist before. There was news floating around the Internet that FiiO had modified the Apple Music service to directly interact with the DAC, and posted this version in the FiiO market (maybe I'm wrong). it also depends on the settings in the Apple Music app... once you open the Music App then tap on the three dots upper right corner.. then select " settings" then look for Audio then select "audio quality" then for the three selections of Cellular, Wi-Fi and Downloads select Hi-res lossless for each... thats all you can do ... I have found that by using the Wavelet app with the Apple Music much better sound from my headphones once you get it set up correctly for your model of headphone(s) ....

I set the A music app to maximum quality as soon as Apple started streaming lossless music. In the future I'm thinking of using Wavelet, but I don't like the additional processing of music with various equalizers, but I'll try it, maybe I'll like it. And now I'm thinking of doing a complete reset of the player to factory settings so that the FiiO market will work again. My experience using this player is only 12 hours with various iem and full-size headphones. The device is still in the testing stage.
