When pairing with my stationary DAC (dCS Bartoc) M15s and M17 recognize the dCs Bartok and ask to connect. However, the music is only played very, very quietly,

it is where you have to choose Cancel. If I choose ok I have the same thing, sound nearly muted and not clean at all.

I use the regular YouTube app I have downloaded on the store (I tried on the website too). Connected to my phone (good wifi connection)
Output here is to an external DAC but is the same if I use a headphone.

I'm also having problems with the USB output on my M15 (same on the M17).
When paired with my mobile DAC (ifi micro idsd BL) everything works with the fiio app and the output volume is fixed and I control the volume on the DAC. When using a streaming app (Qobuz, Radio paradise) I have to set the volume to 120 in the M15s.
When pairing with my stationary DAC (dCS Bartoc) M15s and M17 recognize the dCs Bartok and ask to connect. However, the music is only played very, very quietly, the DAC displays incorrect sampling rates and freezes. The Dac has to be disconnected from the power supply, then it will work again with my other sources. Something is wrong with the USB out on M15s and M17.

If you are convenient, please send the log files(support@fiio.com) to us for check.
Extract a LOG file
For special software issues, please extract a LOG file under the root directory, unzip and copy it to the homepage. And then send it to us for analysis.
Please go to " Settings ->About device" , and continually tap “Model number", until the prompt "Have save output log to built-in storage" appears.
Then please wait for about 20 seconds, and go to player's internal storage, then send the folder "fiio_log " to us and inform us the time of the problem for further analysis.

I am happy with my FIIO M11 Plus Ltd + Astell & Kern PA10 class A sandwich connected via a balanced interconnect - it's great sound, big stage and holography.
Has anyone tried to connect FIIO M15s to A&K PA10 - what impressions, it's a good set and there is progress in it?

Has it already been fixed by FIIO in the new firmware or is there still a problem that FIIO M15 also have a crack in a fraction of a second at the beginning of the song, e.g. from Tidal, such a quiet crack? especially audible when successive tracks have different sampling?

I tested, I installed FIIO Control on a smartphone but it does not see the DAP M11.

Currently, I use the FIIO M11 Plus ltd BT remote control - FIIO RM1 - it's very convenient,
you don't have to flick the screen to switch the next or previous track or change the volume.
It's an old model now is newer FIIO RM3 - has more buttons can be used with M15s?

Plugged to an USB-C plug with Thunderbolt protocol (windows laptops and last gen macbook m2), DC Mode works and the combination DC Mode/USB DAC Mode can work with the already stated workaround.

@madzic What is the workaround you are referring to? I would also like to use DC mode and USB DAC Mode together with my M1 Mac.

Yes, the new RM3 can work with M15S or any FiiO DAP based on Android . the RM3 has more buttons so it is more easy than RM1 , plus it has one customed buttons.

I'm interested in the M15S and I hoping this can be my all-in-one solution, but I have some questions.

Could you provide some more noise floor specs at different levels of gain?
Your website lists <5.2μV (A weighting) for balanced headphone out on super high gain and ultra high gain, and <3.2μV for unbalanced headphone out.
What about low, medium, and high gain?

Can you confirm or deny that USB DAC mode and Desktop mode can be used at the same time?

Can you adjust the volume of the 4.4mm balanced line-out?

The FiiO Control app does not support M15s. Here is the list of the supported devices for FiiO Control.

You could try the FiiO Link function in FiiO Music APP if you would like to remote control the FiiO Music app in M15s.
