What's wrong with the pause/play buttons? They seem to work fine for me in every app ive used (Poweramp, Fiio music, roon arc, roon remote, qobuz, tidal, etc.). (screen on or off, battery or plugged in all work -- latest firmware v1.0.5)

Have you all tried resetting the device?

Yes, also tried, but still the button doesn’t work properly.

The fact that after pausing, after a couple of minutes it is impossible to resume playback with a single button press.
You have to press the play button three or five times.
Resetting to factory settings or rebooting does not help.
It remains only to give it for repair or refund.

Because of such poor fiio support for my devices, my next player will be from HIBY. The pause bug has still not been fixed =(((((((((((

Agreed, and it's very irksome. This was mentioned MONTHS ago. What is @FiiO doing?

I don't think that would change anything. It really seems it's a software/firmware problem IMO.

Same experience here. I gave feedback on some suggested items to improve on months ago - still no action/change after the last firmware update.

I gave up on FiiO when I had the X7 because of (the same) firmware issues, promised features there was never implemented (can see it in the X7 thread very early on)

I gave FiiO a chance again with the M15S - but its starting to be a repeat of my previous misfortune with them...if FiiO doesn't work on this, this might really be my last from them.

I was very much considering buying this dap. Never owned a dap from Fiio, but it sounds like a lot of issues with no resolve with firmware updates or other means. I can't support that. Sounds like the DX260 might be a better choice from that perspective. Too bad, I really want to hear what this dap has to offer. Everything else sounds great.

I know this is a firmware issue. And this is essentially a firmware defect. And it must be fixed within the warranty period. Or provide a discount of at least 20 percent of the total cost of the device. IMO.

Also in the sense that to return 20 percent to those who have already acquired. A device with defective software.Or a full refund with the return of the device.
