FiiO M15S Pocket Desktop-Level Player Discussion & Impressions Thread

@FiiO The FiiO M11S DAP has the same issue mentioned in the M15S firmware changelog: "device crash in Pure Music mode". In the last firmware update for the M11S I didn't see this being mentioned. Please fix it.
Dear friend,

Hi, please upload the log from Technical support-online feedback in your M11S. And the engineer could have a check about that.

Best regards

Confirming the pause bug is gone, and Direct Music doesn't seem to crash any longer.
Just didn't expect the device to take forever to boot after the update, though.

Booting up after the update took a lot of time here too.
I think what may be happening is that “the update” is really just downloading it locally (into internal storage), ready to install… but the actual install doesn’t happen until the reboot, which is why it takes so long to boot up again.

The question is - are subsequent reboots much faster afterwards? If so, then I think the above may explain it.

Don't know. I have no complaints yet. About the new firmware. Except for the multifunction button, which still does not respond after a pause. But these are small things for me. I use only a third-party player, unlike the built-in "FiiO Music" and it saves me.

Dear friend,

Hi, we will report to the engineer for checking first. You could use the play button for help instead?

Best regards

Hello,
Received my M15s and am positively impressed. Commissioning, software update, loading the Qobuz app and loading a 1TB Sandisk micro SD went quickly and without any problems. First impressions with Fiio FD7, Sennheiser Ie900 and Meze Empyrean were very good and at the moment it sounds better than my M17. Maybe it's the new toy syndrome. I have to compare first.
The heat development is relatively low so far, lower than in the M17. Desktop mode works with all my charging adapters and also with various power banks (Xtorm, Sandberg Survivor, Omni 20+).
.
I'm curious about your experiences with the Sennheiser ie900!

The play button works correctly after the update. Both on the device and via the Rm3 remote control.
And the multifunction button, when assigning the "play/pause" function, still stops working after a long pause.

They just fixed it with a hack for a single button. Even the physical "Hold" switch doesn't work when the device is asleep. I'm 99% sure the engineers messed up the hardware and are now trying to patch it with software. I have no other explanations for such clumsiness and such slow fixing of the issues.
