When does my M11 Pro finally supports Tidal MQA???
Hi,

If everything goes well, MQA features for 3rd party apps will be supported this month.

Best regards

Does the M11 pro work with Amazon Music HD and Ultra HD tracks stored offline?

I have read in a few places that it doesn't.
If you are not sure that Amazon Music will work with offline music on the M11, then use, for example, the Tidal streaming service. In the Tidal app, offline listening to music works seamlessly. As for payment, I advise you to register under a Turkish location. In Turkey, for a Tidal Hi-Fi subscription, the cost per month is only 19.99 TRY, which is approximately $ 2.95. Profitable.

I have a question please. It may have been answered already, but I got no results by searching this thread.

About wifi and the M11 Pro. …. On the webpage about three-quarters the way down it talks about the wifi.https://fiio.com/m11pro

The heading is 'You personal music portal'. Then, 'Get your songs through DNLA, Airplay, or wifi.' … Then there is some text describing this function.

However I can't understand what it is saying. My two ideas are:

1. It works like an android phone, and you can connect via wifi to control a e.g. music server.
or
2. You can stream music to the M11 Pro via wifi (not Bluetooth), and the M11 Pro will play the music files.

Please can some one tell me. Can the M11 can receive files via wifi from a server, PC etc, over wifi - not Bluetooth.

  • I have not tried to transfer files over WiFi... I download files to the Micro SD card and install them on the M11 Pro using the Astro file manager app.
  • I stream Tidal from my local WiFi. Sounds great and no drop outs until I get out of range. I sometimes have to re-start Tidal if I move to another WiFi router.
  • I can also cast from my M11 Pro to my KEF LS50W speakers over AptX. Great sound for a Bluetooth connection.
  • My understanding is that I can also receive Bluetooth cast to my M11P, but I have not tried this function.

I stream Qobuz and download my Qobuz playlists via WiFi. Bluetooth is disconnected.

Hi,

1. It could connect to Wifi, and you could play streaming music files via the third party apps.
2. You would like to play the music in M11Pro or your mobile phone?
3. Yes, you could transfer the music from the PC to the M11 via Wifi, using the Wifi transfer function.

Best regards

Thank you for the answers. I was specifically asking about the part of the M11 Pro, because of one reason.

I have both a Chord Mojo and a Chord Hugo 2. I have wanted for ages to buy a Chord Poly for my Mojo, but it's still not right. Plus I would have liked the newly released Chord 2Go for the Hugo 2.

However neither of these modules while prefect format for their respective DACs, is working faultlessly. They are both still being worked on and are liekly to get perfected eventually. However it appeared to me that the M11 Pro was the solution at least for the meantime.

It's very likely that if I bought an M11 Pro, then I would use the SD-card functionality all the time. That's for both using an M11 Pro as a DAP, or as a file source. However steaming file bandwidth uncompressed music over wifi like the Poly and 2Go do, is a good function. Like some folk say steaming from online music apps.

As far as I know you can steam anything almost to Poly or 2Go, like 24 bit 192KHz from your PC wifi. Or from a server with wifi output. Those examples are the functionality that was asking about. Plus streaming from maybe Spotify, Amazon, or whatever.

One question - does the M11 Pro have a replaceable battery?

My comments are about the FiiO M15 which also received the "same" level update, so I'm hoping the M11 / M11 Pro can deliver the same as my M15 once it is configured with a 3rd party app - UAPP Full paid app + In app MQA - it does the full unfolding 384k / 352.8k for 24bit streaming connected over Wifi to the Tidal server.

2. Added global MQA support - now the player supports 8x MQA unfolding when playing MQA tracks in third-party apps. However it does not include Tidal, Tidal will update to a version to adapt our product later. [edited to English from M15 release note]

On my M15 after the update the android Tidal app is delivering 1st fold MQA just as before connected via Wifi to the Tidal server. The M15 in USB DAC mode can also be used in "Exclusive Mode" by the Windows Tidal App and do the 1st fold MQA, same as before the update - 96khz / 88.2khz.

The update allows us to enable in Android Settings=>Display=>Sample Rate Display and =>Volume display - the Rate Display shows up to the left of the Battery indicator (if you have that enabled) and the Volume Display is on the left of the "speaker" icon. When running Tidal app I see the 88.2 in the Status Bar, and if I am running UAPP MQA bit perfect the Sample Rate Display shows 384k... if it shows 2.8M you've gone too far... you have "All to DSD" enabled (if you have an M15).

What is new in this update for MQA is that compatible 3rd party apps run on the M15 (M11 / M11 Pro?) can do the full 8x unfolding while streaming from the Tidal server through a "Paid" UAPP + in-app MQA purchase + bit perfect enabled in "Internal HiRes Audio" in UAPP Settings. That's it really.

@Count Strahd von Zarovich helped me through the setup, and I posted some steps along the way on my M15 here:

Hopefully this also works via the same 0604 update on the M11 and M11 Pro :)

Hi,

1. When fast charging in sleep mode, you could view the motion effect:

2. When fast charging in other status, the battery icon will turn blue:
