Does M11 Pro uses two dacs in line-out?
The shown circuit in the page of M11 Pro seems to show that it uses only one dac for 3.5mm PO. Is it the the same for line-out? Is one dac useless in this case?

M11 uses two dacs according to the shown circuit.

Yes, the M11 Pro uses two DAC(2x4497EQ) in line-out.

You may refer to this picture?

The 3.5mm PO is using one THX AAA amplifer and the 2.5mm/4.4mm banlanced output is using two THX AAA amplifer. The THX AAA amplifer is not the DAC chips.

After using the M11 for a time I upgraded to the M11pro... I must say, sonically it was a big step ahead! The M11pro paired with the FiiO FH7 is my „on the run“ solution and it’s the best I ever had- missing nothing so far. Well done, @FiiO !

@FiiO , or anyone else, is it possible to turn off charging of the M11 Pro when connected to an iPad Pro via USB-C and using the M11 Pro in DAC mode?

I’d rather use the battery in the M11 Pro when using it as a USB-connected DAC, rather than have a constant charge state draining the iPad’s battery.

@FiiO, can this be a setting in the next firmware? Turning off charging (DAC/data only, using internal battery, no charging) when connected as an external USB DAC? Please

Love the M11 Pro, and usually use it as a stand-alone DAP with UAPP (for TIDAL & Qobuz streaming) and the FiiO Music player app for local files. But every now and then I like to do music discovery on the native TIDAL and Qobuz apps on the big screen of my iPad Pro 12.9” 4th-gen. So the USB-C out capabilities of the iPad Pro coupled with the great USB DAC capabilities of the M11 Pro, allow me to listen to bit-perfect music on my Sony IER-Z1R IEMs with the balanced cable (4.4mm pentaconn connector) from the iPad Pro. None of my other USB DACs I connect to the iPad have a 4.4mm balanced connector — I’m sure this will change (e.g., iFi Hip DAC) as pentaconn becomes more popular — but until then, using the M11 Pro as an external DAC with 4.4mm balanced out is AWESOME. ... But, the battery drain on the iPad is a bummer since the M11 Pro is always in charge mode connected to the iPad Pro. If I connect a powered hub between the iPad Pro and the M11 Pro I avoid the iPad battery drain, but I would rather turn off charging when connected as a DAC and act in a data-only mode like some Sony DAPs support.
