@FiiO is HWA/LHDC implemented in the Android10 base of the M11 plus series? UTWS5 with LHDC would be interesting for some mid-tier IEMs with LHDC with a source that works with 3rd-Party Apps (Quoboz, Tidal, AppleMusic and other 3rd-party player-apps)
LHDC/HWA is mentioned nowhere in the official listings, only AAC, SBC, Apt-x, LDAC.

May be difficult to see, but am see a slight yellow blurring to edge of screen when on white backgrounds. Unit is less than a month old, about 2 hours daily usage and recharge battery, once sometimes 2 times a week. As anyone else's M11 plus had this issue? @FiiO any suggestions on how to fix this, or is my unit defective?

When you take ss, it doesn't show how your panel shows you the colors, brightness, contrast etc. It's taken in the system. You should take a photo of your dap with full brightness by using another device in order to show how you see the screen.

One recommendation, go to YouTube and find screen color test videos and check one by one how it looks on full screen.

Just received the M11 Plus ESS today; so far I am really impressed paired with the Rai Penta. And also the VE Monk Plus earbuds!
I was originally going to get the AKM version, I think the ESS version suits the Rai Penta better. Much better than the Apple dongle from my iPhone...

Can’t remember what mine is set to.

ESS model has these options:

1) Sharp roll-off
2) Short delay slow roll-off
3) Hybrid fast roll-off

I think 3>2>1 here, from comparing for 2 minutes, hybrid fast roll-off sounds slightly more treble leaning than the sharp roll-off but I could be wrong.

From the picture you sent, the problem is not obvious. And the LCD display of M11Plus is in warm level, so it partial color yellow.

Previously in this thread you mentioned that the delay was below 100ms, so the 200ms admission is a move in the right direction.
However, the real delays is not 200 but 300ms and it was proven with a slow motion (240fps) recording that captured both video and audio (see below). The second half of the video shows that the laptop internal speakers play sound with 0ms delay. This clearly shows that in M11 Plus in USB DAC mode takes 300ms to reproduce the sound after it is played. So with a slow motion capture it is precisely proven and not dependent on human hearing.

I use USB DAC mode in 50% of the cases.

1. When I watch a video with people speaking in front of the camera it feels like the audio is coming from a different source because the speech does not match the lips movement.
2. Any video, game or anything else that shows actions on the screen and plays sound looks akward, because 0.3 sec sound delay is quite significant.
3. As @LamerDeluxe (tm) mentioned above, he wants to use DAC mode for music creation and also finds such delay unacceptable.

If you watch the video below again carefully, you will see that in USB DAC mode the sound is reproduced with 300ms delay (first half), laptop speakers - 0ms delay (second half).
I may be wrong, but as a software engineer I believe that this is a firmware or dac driver problem rather than a hardware limitation, and can be fixed.

Sadly, will be returning my M11 ESS this week. Still not a word if and when USB DAC delay can be fixed. Rest is fine, but the DAC mode is very important for me and it is unusable with 0.3 sec delay.

I found that a good way to compare the different filters was to map the custom button to cycle through the filters. I found that I could tell the filters apart as I cycled through, which surprised me, but the differences were subtle and my brain would quite quickly normalise and get used to any of them.

But when I turn on this mode, I can go to the player settings, and in the developer menu (with root), in the "running programs" item, I see that Google services, libraries for Android, keyboard for Android are working.. All of this is in an active state.
It means that the Pure Music mode is not real?
Will there be changes made to the future firmware of the player, that will allow to use the real Pure Music Mode?

1. Please understand that the player is using Android system.
2. If the keyboard app is not allowed to run in Pure music mode, you would not be able to search the music in the FiiO Music app.
