Thanks again, I've got a 'leather' one on order. I'll have to see how it measures up against a clear case and then decide...

It's not tight at all in that stand, I think there won't be any issue with any cases.

Shame there isn't an automatic way of extracting embedded metadata lyrics so they display in the FiiO music player @FiiO
Dear friend,

We will report your requirement to the engineer for assessing.

Best regards

Hey there head-fi M11 owners. Since the last FiiO M11 update, my APKPure app has been a bit pushy about stuff. And today when I turned on my M11 there's this google play store alert saying "APKPure may be harmful" and suggesting I uninstall it.

APKPure is how I've traditionally installed what few things I have on my M11. Mostly that's apps like Tidal and such, I really have a minimal system in terms of apps.

What's the direction for keeping my apps installed and up to date on my M11? I'm not an android guy and don't know.

APKPure did make sense at the beginning, when the google play store was still not working with the M11. Since the M11 embraced a full google store functionality, I haven't seen much sense to keep the APKPure. Personally, I've deleted it.

Okay, so sounds like APKPure is on the way out. I always thought of the play store as evil from the standpoint of intrusive spying apps, and thought it was possible to delete it and considered it but haven't done it. But perhaps the lesser of evils going forward. Curious if there are any other opinions, but I did notice the last time I installed something from APKPure suddenly a game was running on my M11 that i didn't want. Grrr. I like my M11 as pure as possible, with one purpose, to play music.

I am adding a desktop amp to my fiio m11. Am I supposed to change the audio settings on the DAP and if so what do I change to.

Thanks for your help.
You have to use the 3.5mm output, otherwise you will be double amping (with the balanced outputs) and run that to the back of your headphone amp (3.5mm to RCA's or what have you). In the Settings>Audio>Change output selection to LO (line out)

Thank you for your help.
Make sure you switch it back to PO if you hook up a pair of headphones again. The LO maxes out the volume (120)

I have a couple of new IEMs on order for Christmas. There was an offer to get balanced cables with them so thought I would add those to the order. Never used them before. Anything special you have to do to use the M11 with balanced output ? They are a couple of 4.4mm balanced cables.
