So which mode on the BT2 do you think gives the best sound? And... do the controls work with controlling the M11 or X5?
I spend more time in listening than in testing and comparing. Therefore I started right away with LDAC, that was so impressive, I kept it as standard.
Yes, the controls work as expected. Play / Pause / Volume +/- / Next/Previous track ...
And with the FiiO control app you have more options like shutting down the device and different config settings.
I like the solution, FiiO brought with the LC-BT2

Holy crap, avoid the just released Beta. Seriously loud and bad jitter. About every 5th song. Never did anything like it before now.
I’m using Roon and UAPP and not having any issues with jitter. I have noticed that Airplay no longer syncs well with video playback from my iPad Pro.

Hi,

Does the issue happen before updating the firmware? And does other app have the same issue? Please try to restart your M11 and check again first?

Best regards

Yes it happened before the firmware updated and yes I have restarted the FiiO M11 very often.
I even have done a firmware reset once out of frustration about the lack of Qobuz working properly on the FiiO M11.

@FiiO I just bought a Hiby R6 Pro (Android 8.1) in addition to my FiiO M11 (Android 7) only so I can compare side by side what is a Qobuz problem and what is a e.g. FiiO problem.

1. Not being able to import long playlists, clearly a Qobuz problem. E.g. http://open.qobuz.com/playlist/863606 or http://open.qobuz.com/playlist/1760486. Only approx half of the songs are imported before the whole app stops working. Asking the app nicely to import the rest often does not work. So you have to import the rest of the tracks one by one per hand.
2. Importing tracks in a way the playlist suddenly stops when playing back and being on Wifi. Qobuz problem again. If I shut of Wifi and play the same list with the same songs no interruptions. The inbetween checking on the Wifi from Qobuz is causing the problem
3. One second pauses with the lates beta software 5.9.0 on the FiiO M11 in almost any track - a FiiO issue. Never happened on the Hiby. Just making sure: It only happens when I am on SPDIF digital out.
So yes, please try to fix this. If you want my FiiO M11 to test what I am saying. More than happy to send it.

PS: I can also throw in a FiiO M9 and Sony NW-ZX2 (both Android) which did work with Qobuz but I have given it up since they are both too slow, and a iPhone 11 Pro Max which works perfectly with Qobuz, so I know it should work in theory.

I just got my M11. Big improvement from the M9. I use it primary for off-line Spotify. I download a lot of playlists for off-line listening. I use a 128g SD card for the downloads. Every couple of days Spotify would 'forget' about the SD card and re-download (filling up the internal storage). So then I formatted the SD card as internal storage. Spotify works good now. It's a bit slower but it plays offline music without issue. The issue I'm seeing now is when I play music with the Fiio Music app I get 3 audio drops when I start playing a song. It happens to FLAC, DSD and MP3. Standard and Hi-Res. It happens when the bit rate is constant between songs. This happens every time a new song is played. Is this a known issue?
