Hopefully people (and @FiiO) would run battery life tests, to provide guidance on how much adding Google Play Services affects battery life...

I have no problem with battery after applying the patch, having fully functional Google Services is great, esp. this is an android device.

For all users with micro gaps or similar issues while music playing via BT.

For a better BT experience (without ANY gaps) you have to speedup the whole device! After root (incl. FW-patch) , take "root booster" with "extreme mode" "speed boost" (or another increasing-device-app) and you will have a full working device!

Normally, you have to test issues like these before shipment! Your battery-increasing method is very unstable in relation to a HiRes device resp. music playing!

I am not getting any warnings, moreover i'm getting Direct: 192kHz with 24/192k files whereas I'm getting Direct: 44.1k coming up if I switch to using Android driver in settings.

I'm no expert but I think that means It's accessing the DAC directly and correctly if I select the Hires Direct Driver option in my setup.

EDIT: I think it may be I'm having success because I realised I'm using an old version of UAPP - V 4.4.1 which I ripped last year when I got my M11 and tried side loading. Perhaps with newer versions, the direct to dac option has become much more specific, hence the problems you are experiencing.

Please, can you share your exported APK?, I want to play at 192 too. thks.

I contacted the developer of the UAPP-App and they sent me a beta to the new version. This version works fine with the M11 without warnings and full resolution. The new version should be up soon

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else but when I applied the patch to add the Play Store the Fiio player was gone.
I just downloaded it from the store and now its back, but I am curious if thats normal operation when patching? Seems odd that Fiio would endorse this while deleting their own player.

Is the Google Play update going to be included in a full firmware update ?
If not, I assume it will need to be applied after every firmware update ?
Do we have an ETA regarding the updated UAPP app after the Beta version ?

So that leads me to another thought: are there any of M11 users who are also HD600 fans and got a balanced cable for it? I'd love to hear how that is. I'm wondering how close i can get to that sound with a DAP like the M11 in balanced mode. Would certainly be simpler.

I am an HD600 desktop user; I got the HD660S for the M11 and use its balanced cable for listening. The M11 has easily enough juice in balanced mode for the 150ohm cans. It has juuuuuuuust enough to deal with the HD600s, but something more robust may be ideal.

I tried the Device ID app too, copied the GF number (apparently) but nothing pasted into the webpage to register the device.

I think i'll take a step back and just wait and see if official firmware comes through. I'm unfamiliar with messing around with Android and not that desperate to get a music app, but was curious. I can survive between the FiiO app and Poweramp.

Hi. I've got FiiO music app version 1.1.8 along with FW build 1.0.8 on my M11.

The pop up quick select A-Z panel is really not working properly on my unit. It rarely will jump to the chosen letter - no matter how I touch it with my index finger. Any suggestions? I've rebooted my player several times and think I will try to reinstall the music app.

Also, I have the M11 in the FiiO leather case, but still room on the right side to touch and activate the volume pop up no problem, so not sure why alphabet isn't responding.

You need to touch and drag not just touch.

I find it best to touch and drag from the top down every time and I have two 400GB cards nearly full.
